I'm going to toss this out there and see if it sticks.
We see that there is a time difference of 31 minutes. Many are speculating that it may mearly not just be 31 minutes but a day/week/year AND 31 minutes so here is where I am going to go out on a limb.
Maybe the person on the boat that Ben refers to is Sayid.
I'm sure all of you are saying WHAT???!!! But many keep talking about being in the same place at the same time and wormholes and other "science-y" stuff. We know that Ben and Sayid are together so maybe its him.

I never considered this idea...but wow. That would make for an amazing twist that nobody is going to expect. Just thinking about this stuff makes me wish it was next thursday already....

I concur. We know Michael is going to be reintroduced, and we keep seeing Walt, so what better way to introduce him then make him a spy? He's already made deals with the Others in the past, why not now?

well yes, if he is able to coerce sayid to kill for him, he could easily persaude michael to spy for him - perhaps offering to keep walts abilities under wraps.

i posted something about this in another subject area.. but to go with EMC's theory of Sayid being Bens spy.

first.. you'd have to consider.. and dont think anyone has (and, of course it may not be true).. but what if Ben gets flashes like Desmond. Does it take an explosion of the Hatches' magnitude to cause an ability. perhaps.. but if not, Ben sure has been on the island long enough. An we already know he is special in some way.

And if you consider that and the fact that there seems to be a delay or something in time between the island and the freighter...
What if its days ahead on the freighter (which at time Ben says...), sayid is already on he boat making him his spy and ben being able to see future knew about this. And heck.. would def explain his ability to be 20,000 moves ahead of everyone all the time.:cool:

I too agree, Ben has some sort of power - he has ALWAYS BEEN two/three steps ahead - He has been untouchable when it comes to MANIPULATION - I mean he does get beat up - and even then - he MANIPULATES - the man knows exactly what to say and to whom and he's TIMING excellent. That in itself makes him a MASTER - sorta got to admire him for that - he's a great EVIL person - or is he? Makes the show that much more interesting...Ben is no WIMP!!!! i think the only hole in that theory is that Ben tells Locke he has a man on the boat and then Locke captures Sayid...now obviously the time difference could still make up for this but i think that he is most likely referring to Michael....

and i think Sayid will kill Michael if he sees him on the boat...

Wow - in saying that then Ben on Boat would know exactly what to do and/or say to the Losties and rescue Ben on Island - Nahhhhhhh too far fetched even for this show...... good tease though!
