So the wheel was off its axis and was wobbling causing repeating time jumps. Thank you Locke for fixing it, but we see that the fixed wheel causes another jump. Theoretically, the wheel being the source of the jumps is now fixed and "The Gang" on the island is going to permanently trapped into whatever time Locke just jumped them too.
It is my theory that they will be jumped to the time period a few weeks before the opening scene of "Before you left." I am guessing that the majority of this season will include the struggle of those left behind to reach the wheel to try to get back to the proper time. I believe it will be the final time jump of this season.
The evidence:
We saw Faraday in that episode heading down to that very spot.
Faraday was told by Charlotte that he warned her as a child in the Dharma initiative.
It is also wise to limit time traveling in writing because things get very complicated.
This is my first post, it has been a pleasure reading these boards.

That is what I thought that by fixing the wheel or getting it back on its axis that the jumps would stop and they would be stuck in whatever time it jumps to. My guess is it is in the 70's by pics that were released but how do Jack and the others get to the 70's if that is the case.

well, I think there is a good chance that we will see more jumps.
one thing I was going to write about is the moment that Daniel Faraday & Charlotte Lewis talked before she died
she told him that she saw him when she was a kid.
that means Daniel will all the way to the back and see her when she was a kid (all in that moment) and told her not to come to the island.
it is just like when Sawyer saw Kate & claire having a baby scene
but this will happen after few years from now .... because "Daniel" was old. (that what Charlotte said to Daniel )
this is important to realize that this is not the end and there is a lot to tell.
God I love LOST so much !

i disagree. charlotte's just speaking of a "man, this crazy man" who scared her. she doesn't say anything about his age.

My Bad, you are right, so to correct the Theory I would say it will happen in unknown period in the future.

I watched the re-run episode and freakazoid is right. There no mention of "old" man. Charlotte said "crazy man."
I think it would be interesting if it turned out the group got split up in two or more different time periods.

Well, I do remember seeing Faraday in the first episode of this season. He was walking down by the Orchid when the Dharma man (the guy from all the videos, I can't remember his name) was going to see what was found. Which means they may be stuck in that time. Plus, last night Jack, Kate, and Hurley saw Jin dressed in the DI outfit driving the DI van. So, in order for him to have all that he must be stable in the time he is in. Which means no flashes.
Then again, there must have been a flash to get Jack and the rest back to the island. There was not a plane crash because there was a time flash that all the people that have perviously been on the island got caught in because they were so near the island. Which means the plane may be without a pilot since Lapetis could have gotten pulled in teh flash. If there were anyone else on that plane that have been to the island before and left, they may also have returned in the flash. the people on the plane may not even crash because the island just took who it wanted (in the flash). I don't know, what do you all think?

Based on the end of last nights episode when the O6 return to the island it is sometime in the 70's during DI's stay on the island. Jin looked pretty well assimilated as a member of the Dharma Iniative, so I think that means the island stopped jumping when Locke turned the wheel and the other Losties, Miles and Faraday have been in the 70's for some time.
Farraday probably warned people, including Charlotte's mother, about the attack before it happened and they bolted. I would guess that Charlotte's fate was to die during the attack so, her return to the island and subsequent death was a course correction making sure Charlotte died on the island like she was supposed to.
I don't think the island will jump anymore and we will find that many of the corpses, artifacts and other things the losties came across in the first 4 seasons will be there because of this.

but wait....didn't you notice who was running the video camera for the Good 'Ole Doc.in the Season Opener? It was SAWYER (with a mustache) and I think that the thing Dr. Chang is going to have to go see is the O6 arriving on the Island!
So my guess is, when the Wheel was put back on it's axis- the time traveling stopped....and now the Losties (= Daniel and Miles) have been "stuck" in the Dharma time for a while....
**That would also explain how Charlotte knows Chinese (JIN Taught her)
**How we saw Daniel in that time frame AND how he was able to go back and wrn Charlotte not to come back to the Island.
** And why Jin pulled up in the Van wearing Dharma Clothing.

I just re-watched the first episode of this season, and it's not Sawyer filming Dr. Chang(or whatever his name is). It kinda looks like an older version, but I'm pretty sure its not. And that doctor was/is an a**hole!
