Why is everyone asking why Danielle didn't recognise Jin in Season 1? There is no way of her noticing him because the Island wasn't moved yet so Jin hadn't been to the Past. If Danielle was alive right now she would remember seeing Jin.

plus she met him for a few hours 16 years ago. she doesnt know about the tim travel thing, even if she thought for a second she did recognize him, she would have believed he looked the same age he did then.

The only way she would have noticed him is if the Island was on a Time Loop.

I agree! But it was interesting that Jin remembered her and was able to put that together since he didn't know about the time traveling or anything.

When Danielle and her Crew got Jin out of the Water he didn't have no clue who they were then she asked him what his name was and then she told him her name.

So how did Richard remember meeting Locke when Locke gave him the compass?

Did he remember him? I don't remember if that's how it came across. Alpert asked John why he should believe him and John said "Because you gave me this." Did it go beyond that, or did something distract the conversation???

Locke told Richard when he was born, and we saw Richard in the hospital verifying that Locke was born that day.

The point is Richard had knowledge of Locke immediately after Locke gave him the compass in 1954 just as Danielle had knowledge of Jin as soon as they met on the beach upon saving Jin. Danielle recognized Jin after a flash or two when Jin saw her kill her husband. Had they spent any time together she could have recognized him before she died.
