Did anyone catch the "clue?" with Charlotte's full name? Her full name, according to Ben, is Charlotte Staple Lewis. Anything with Clive Staple Lewis? (C.S. Lewis?)

Yeah, someone else mentioned that after last week's episode.

Also, on the little pop-up thingie this week it mentioned she was named after C.S. Lewis.. saying that Narnia was also a special place that people were called to (or something like that).

What pop-up thing this week?

The replay of last weeks episode, with the little notes down the bottom.. The "enhanced" version, or whatever they're calling it, that they play before the new week's episode.

There are some interesting parallels to Narnia... its been ages since I read the books... but the kids go there in the first one, can't get back home until they mysteriously wander back home. They can't return either, until the second book, when the land needs them. Am I correct?? Like I said, its been a while since i read the books!

But I don't think it goes beyond the referential link to her name.

Oh wow, I knew the replayed last weeks episode before this weeks but I didn't know they did the whole pop-up thing...I'll have to check it out, thanks :)

They are free to get back home if they want to, but they feel like they should stay and help. As time goes by, they just sort of forget their old life at home, until they come across the lamppost and it starts coming back to them (and they go home).

But yeah, they can't get back to Narnia unless they're called back, no matter how badly they want to go.

GREAT point, I remember seeing that movie....as many times as they try to go back through the wardrobe they can't get there anymore. Wow haha the parallels are crazy :)

According to the books I believe (which I've never read so forgive me) they DO in fact go back in other ways but only when they are supposed to or something. Right?

i read the narnia books loads as a child but that was a VERY long time ago so i cant really remember but wasnt it the other way round in narnia - they time went faster when they were there and when they left, virtually no time had passed at all.

Yah, they lived in Narnia for YEARS and then when they got back it was as if time had stopped in the real world. Maybe its the opposite for the island? Like on the island time has stopped somehow which is why no one ages apparently? I dunno just rambling :)

Yeah, they all go back once more and then just half of them go back a third time, but ONLY when called.. and they get called at random times (they don't realize it's happening until they just end up in Narnia).

And yeah, in Narnia time goes by much faster than in our world, but the speed doesn't seem consistent. I don't think Lost is based on it, but there are parallels.

I agree, they seem to take tons of parallels among Narnia, Wizard of Oz, Alice and Wonderland and who knows what else....all of them have the same theme which is going into an alternate world like they've never seen before that seems magical....they all have the one goal of wanting to get home (well narnia not so much but you know what I'm saying) :)

I was reading something online about the connection between charlotte and the Author C.S. Lewis. And where the names (except first) are identitical.. theres more. In the 2nd Narnia book... entitled "Prince Caspian" the children return to narnia thousands of years after the 1st book took place. They return as they were called (as may charlotte as well). I feel she seemed a tad happy to be there. And apparently there is a similarity between her arrival and that of the childrens in the book. Also.. the first chapter of that book is entitled "The island".
Aaaaaannnd heres a thought... as mentioned by someone else and passing on the theory... doesnt Charlotte look alot like Annie (ben's childhood friend)??

Oooo good relation....and hmm that would be interesting if Charlotte was "Annie" all grown up, which could explain her somewhat connection to Dharma?!
