Did anyone notice that Sayid played golf left handed but then shot the guy with his right hand. He also used his right hand to shoot Elsa. Whats up with that? He has a terrible golf swing by the way. That was definately a 6 iron.

Just for the record I write righty but I play golf, and hockey lefty and I bat lefty but throw righty. My dad is the exact opposite.

I also play golf, hockey, baseball and bowl left handed but I am right handed when I field, write etc.

Same here, back when i played baseball I batted lefty and threw righty, I can bowl with either hand, I broke my wrist when I was ten so I had to switch and no I can go left or right, slight advantage.

Wasn't Sayid's shooting hand determined by the fact that he had a bullet in one shoulder and could not move it. But you raise interesting points. I'd have to go back and see how Sayid holds guns on the island. Would it be interesting if he was right hand dominant on the island and left handed off it. Hmmmmm....

if he was a specialist in the iraqi army, i'm pretty sure he would be able to shoot with both hands at least semi-accurately.

its like the whole twin thing!

i read somewhere that lefties were intended to be a twin but the twin did not make it as it died and was absorbed by the other baby in the womb.

As I remember, Sayid has always shot his rifle left handed. By the way, I always see him carrying around that gun, can anybody tell me what it is. Don't worry, I'm not a psycho who wants to go play Lost in real life, I am just wondering, cuz it seems like a long range rifle, but he just owns at close range with it as well.

Back to the left hand thing, someone said that Charlie crosses himself with his left hand before dying. I am not sure if that is true or not but if so, it is unusual, as the crossing is always done by the right hand.

Charlie did cross himself with his left hand...it was bugging me so I just watched it again. Left handed crossing is considered ok now. It use to be a sign of evil back many of years ago.
