View Full Version : 108 button was a tracking device?

When the button had to be pushed every 108 minutes, it maybe emitted a wave/signal when discharged that enabled the Dharma initiative to track the island? The island was untraceable until the Dharma people started pushing the button.
once the failsafe key was turned, it stopped. I think that the island didn't get unstuck in time at all, it has always been moving. I think that now they just can't track it, because the button pushing is gone. That meant that they had to go back to the old fashioned way of locating the island, the foucoult's pendulum.

If this has been discussed, forgive me.

I think that pushing the button every 108 minutes had something to do with that exotic matter to keep it steady you know? Cause I think if Des wouldn't have turned the fail safe key something very bad would have happened cause too much of that exotic matter would have been released.
