Now that Jin is living in the dharma days, and there is a possibility Charlotte as a young girl is there... maybe he is teaching her Korean. Has this been discussed? It wouldn't be the biggest deal I guess...but it would solve something...

Wow. Good point. Hadn't thought of that at all. I wonder if we may have missed something and she recognized him? I'll have to rewatch when they "first" met...

it's possible she didn't recognize him. she seems to have forgotten a lot about her childhood. it was only when she started to die that she remembered daniel as a scary man during her final moments.

Yeah thatnis a good thought. I am really over this whole "cant change the past" rule. I think the past can be changed,if only in little ways like this.

Well, I think, in terms of Lost any way, this wouldn't be changing the past. I think what they mean is, you can't change was has happened. I think this has little to do with "past" as we think of it. If Jin went back and taught her Korean, it wouldn't change anything in terms of what can;t be changed in terms of Lost. Only if Charlotte had no idea what he was saying THEN Jin went back and taught her Korean, then he would be breaking the rules. But since she already knew Korean, Jin was already in the past teaching her, it just hadnt happened yet in a more conventional sense. Not sure if I explained that well enough, but that's how I see it.
I think Des is the only one that can go back and actually change "fate." (or destiny I guess might be a better term)

I find extremely hard to believe Jin could have tought her Korean. He only learned how to understand/speak Enlish barely a year ago..

Well, if I'm thinking about this correctly, they should have spent the Three Years the 0'6 were off the island stuck in Dharma time. I'm assuming the flashes only lasted a few days before Locke moved the wheel. So that means the rest of the three years from Locke moving the wheel to the O'6 returning would have been spent during the Dharma initiative. Perhaps Jin learned more english as he worked for Dharma. Maybe he and Charlotte even taught each other? But even if he doesn't teach Charlotte korean, Jin will be able to speak English fluently the next time we see him.

or maybe Sun if they stay in that time period long enough... but i agree that it's more possible of Jin to teach her since he is part of the DI now and probably has better english during the 3 years they've been time travelling

I love this theory makes sense, I am sure the late 70's is when Charlotte was a young kid on the island. I think we will be getting her story soon it will be wild seeing our losties interacting with young Charlotte (and maybe Miles).

How do you figure Jin is in the Dharma days?

Because he was driving a relatively new-looking van with a Dharma symbol and wearing a Dharma Initiative uniform. Also this would tie in perfectly with the opening scene this season where Faraday is also wearing Dharma apparel and working in the excavation of the Orchid. Not to mention a few other excellent theories floating around on this forum that would make being stuck in Dharma time quite convenient.

Wow...great point. Never would have thought of that..
Hey, what song is Jin listening to in the radio? My guess would be the song was made in the 70's, since "old" Charlotte seems about 30.

This is a very good point. The 06 have been gone for 3 years. The flashes we have seen so far have only been for a couple of days. They have to have been up to something.
