I had made a comment about it a couple weeks ago, when we saw Faraday in the cave when they were drilling near the wheel. I had mentioned that he had never been there and that wasnt really in the past but in Faradays future. I beleive when Lock turned the wheel, the island quit jumping like it was. This caused it to stay in that time... at least for now. So the losties that were on the island now start working for Dharma, hence Jin in the uniform. When the O6 show up again that is when it puts them.

So I think they are going to have to figure out a way to get back to the current time. I also think the rest of this season is going to answer a lot of questions weve had sence S1.

I think you are right. I think they will try and stop this. I think that they will remember what happened to Dharma and try to stop the others and Ben from killing everyone.

Hurley was taken to the pit and told about the purge and what Ben did. Then Locke told Sawyer and the rest about being left dead in the pit and seeing Walt.

Danielle survived the purge, so maybe the gas doesn't go very far from the compound. Maybe they just have to be in a different part of the island when it happens if they can't stop it.

This makes sense. They were showing us a DI flashback, but it was Daniel's future.

Yeah because, didn't Ben have to open his own canister of gas to kill his Dad since they were out for a drive.

We don't know how many canisters were used in the village or how many people were involved to open them. Ben was inside tha van so it may have acted faster on his Dad. If the canisters were opened in the buildings the people may have had time to run outside before dying.

i dont think the losties are suppose to stop the purge. i think they are suppose to stop the DI from doing whatever it is they did to cause the others to initiate the purge. ive said this before but it doesnt make sense for them to have to go back to stop Richard and the rest of the others from doing the purge, since the others are the original inhabitants.

she was ovbviously suclueded to herself when they originall found her she wasnt with the others the others prob didnt know she was there when the purge occured and even so she would be more of an other so no reason to kill her

Yeah, but I dont think they were trying to kill every person on the Island, just the DI people.
