I don't understand why all of a sudden the 815 people are turning against each other and hating so much. I know a few characters deserve it like locke and stuff, but I wouldn't think that a difference in opinion would cause such conflict. I had kind of noticed it before, but the hurly and sayid thing really surprised me.

The Hurley ruse totally surprised me.
After seeing him say he wished he had gone with Jack, I fugured this was how he got reunited w/ Jack and I could not have been more surprised.

Yah I was dissapointed that Hurley was involved in capturing Sayid and Kate....I was hoping he'd just abandon Locke and join Jack because Locke seems to be going a little too far with all this.

kate, i think there is alot to what you are saying, but not with everyone. I think just mainly amongst the leaders. I don't think Sayid was truly angry with Hurley. Kate and Sawyer made amends. I don't think it's hate but more a matter of frustration between opinions

I do still like locke though. I hope he doesn't get so bad that he becomes an unlikable character. and I was more thinking about hurly being mean to sayid and helping capture the group. I'm sure they won't hurt them though.

i think a lot of it is an extension of the themes they employ from lord of the flies

You know looking back at that "Flashforward" Hurley wasn't really enthused about seeing "Jack". I mean he was aww right not his usual self - Hurley's a big full of love type of guy. He wasn't that glad when Jack visited him at the "Psycho Place". But it did kick me back a bit, when Hurley pulled a fast one - and on the "Flashforwards" everyone seemed to REGRET coming back to civilization - even Jack states to Kate "We should had never left!"

I think the people on this island are trying to find any edge they can find. If that means selling someone or yourself out then so be it.
