pilot in the water

flashback to the first episode of lost,season 1. I've started re-watching (making my son a fan!) and noticed that the pilot in the cockpit that gets sucked out by the monster? and torn apart is the same pilot that was shown in season 4 under water on the news. It's Greg Grunberg from Heroes. Anyone else catch this? Or is this old news that I somehow missed? And he was sitting on the left side of the cockpit. Is this where the pilot or the co-pilot normally sits? If he's the co-pilot, that would explain Faraday knowing that that wasn't the pilot of 815.

Yah we've all come to the assumption (well most of us) that there has been an Oceanic cover up of some sort. Frank calls into the hotline when he sees the news report and says adamently that the pilot is NOT the same pilot that was flying that day, and mentions that he would have his wedding ring on. The news report CLAIMS that its the same pilot and that the body was found but we all know by watching that the plane clearly landed ON the island and the pilot was pulled out by smoky. So I personally think its some cover up and a fake plane was put in the water. Just my 2 cents :)

Oh yeah its definately a cover up - I bet it was Ben who fanangled that one. I'm sure he did it, due to the fact that NO one is suppose to know about the island and/or its survivors......isn't that why there's a hit list in the first place???

Yah I have a small theory that Ben has possibly worked for Oceanic Airlines in the past (maybe when that picture of him was taken) but worked under a different alias?

I never thought of that Dz. I like it esp. that you connect the photo. It makes even more sense after last night.

Yah it made me think of it when you think about the photo that was taken, all the files he had on each of the Losties on the flight, how he had all those passports and NOW how there is this huge probably cover up having to do with flight 815. Maybe Ben wanted that plane to crash on the island and just acted like he was shocked. I mean he sure busted out a quick plan with Ethan and the other dude right away? Anyway just a rambling thought :p

I know I'm wasting away and the amount of time is unhealthy, but I can't help myself. A;lthough in a weird way I'm more productive. Instaed of just lying on the couch watching t.v. I can get some case studies done between posts.

I'm a Physician assistant and I work in primary care right now. The Doc i work with loves to teach, so the next morning we will discuss any intersesting cases from the previous day . He's an awesome old time doctor, very nice and I have alot of respect for(although he could pay more)So, I try to study up on things so I don't look lika an idiot the next day. Also we have to present intersting cases to the team every now and then as they arise. For example, we had a girl with a wondering eye that may be a pituitary tumor so I'm making sure I have an idea what I'll be talking about.

When Frank calls the Oceanic 815 hotline and tells them that the guy in the plane underwater is not the real pilot, he tells the woman on the phone that he knows that because he was supposed to be the one that flew oceanic flight 815 but for whatever reason we dont know yet, he didnt.
