View Full Version : Where Sayid Stands

Where does everyone think that Sayid will stand once everyone gets settled into their 70's surroundings?
I have a feeling that he's not going to be happy about being back, and is going to blame Jack for working with Ben and setting him up.
I'm very interesting in what type of conflict is going to come about from Sayid.

Yes, that should be very interesting! I want to know more about what went on between him and Ben to make him resent Ben so much. I was inclined to think that Ben had him kill Penny, but you can never be sure!
I'm LOVING Sayid this season, all his fight scenes have been amazing!

awwh I think its a shame that his character has become less important... maybe he will become more important this season - or is it me or is there just so many characters on lost now (considering past episodes as well etc)

I don't think that Sayid's become less important; he just hasn't played much of a part in these episodes. Once we see him back on the island he'll be back to the Sayid we love.
I really think that possible conflict between Jack and Sayid will be a big part of this season. When Sayid wakes up on that island he's going to be in a rage; plus he'll most likely be handcuffed ( which will be funny to see him trying to get around).

Yeah, I just said on another thread, that there have been no character episodes this season as such. And it's great having lots of characters in each episode, but I miss ones where you get to see more of Hurley or Sawyer or Ben! It's revealing more of the story which is very interesting, but it's not creating an episode that you say 'OMG that's one of my favourites that I'll watch again and again' like 'The constant' or 'Flashes before your eyes' or 'Tricia Tanaka is dead'

And if I recall they did on the Plane, maybe Sayid does get Revenge on Ben on whatever part of the Island they landed on?

I dont know where the storyline is going, but i dont think Sayid made the jump with jack and kate and hurley. Personally i think that he is going to be stuck with Ben,Sun and some newbies somewhere else on the island. Maybe even in present time. I think perhaps thiers are the water bottles that sawyer and them find in the canoes during a flash.
But i think there is a line that is going to be drawn seperating one group from another.(kate, jack, hurley) (sun sayid ,newbies).
IMO someone(maybe even Jack or FAraday) is going to have to turn the whell again to catch everyone up to present time.

Yess my favourite episode has to be the constant, where the whole time travelling was new to us and relatively simple! plus the bit at the end when he calls penny is sooo lush, like something out of a romantic film haaha

Sadly, I think Sayid isn't going to be much of a major character anymore.
He definitely resents Ben. He'll hate Jack for getting him involved with Ben again. And if Sayid got back to the island with everyone else, I imagine he's going to stay away from everyone and isolate himself. He'll likely have one character-centric episode where we learn about what happened between him and Ben and then we won't hear from him much.
Plus, I can't help but wonder, what purpose does he serve for the show anymore? Now that he's seemingly distanced himself from everyone, what's he going to do? I think he's going to be what Danielle was in the first seasons - someone who just randomly shows up every now and then before fading away again.

Well, I don't think any one person is getting much airtime this season, apart from Locke and Jack, so I don't think it'll be the last we'll see of Sayid. Everyone is getting an equal amount of storyline right now, it's not so much about the characters anymore as it is about the whole story and the island!
