I came to this idea in a discussion somewhere else, but I think it is worth opening a new thread. What do you think about it?

Couldn't it be possible that Ben is travelling through time with the O6 to the 70s, meeting his past self. He then tells himself what will happen in the next years and decades. This would explain why Ben knows so much and not only has such a faith in the island. He also knows that he will not die, no matter what happens, because he understood that he is still alive in the future?!

Am I the only person on these boards to have seen ALL of the Back to the Future movies?? This has already been done- and if it IS what they have done to this show---I'm going to come unglued!

LOL Monica. Your not the only person to have seen Back to the Future and i do agree the time loops are gettin on my nerves. i also like how you put it as unglued to lost. LOL :cool:

You've never heard of back to the future! :eek: I want you to go out to the nearest Blockbuster and rent it. LOL Its weird they make a delorian into a time machine and the go to the past and future and the end up having to go back to the future, it's complicated. LOL :cool:

THAT would explain why's he's EVERYWHERE - he'd know ahead of time, for example what plane to take? How did he approach himself? If some older man told you he was YOU from the future, would you believe it?

yes but he didnt he ask mahkill (i dont know how to spell his name, total fail) to get information about all the passengers? (season 3 or 4 ish, i dont remember exactly)

He did.. but him knowing about the losties in the 70's would give him time to really look into their lives.. I was always curious how Ben was so connected and could find out every single detail of their lives so quickly.. he had huge files on them within like a month, right? I can't remember exactly. I mean, there's tons we don't know about him and he totally could be that connected, but if he had started looking into them way back then it would make more sense how he'd know so much.
