Theories on bloodied ben

in 316 when Ben calls Jack to tell him to go pick up Locke's body, he has blood all over his face and is shaky: I think either Sayid attempted to kill Ben and failed, causing him to be caught and arrested, ending him up on 316, OR Ben just killed Penny in an effort to get Desmond back to the island like Ms< Hawking said was necessary. Any one have any good ideas?

he killed penny. in last weeks episode showed last night with the stuff at the bottom, it said he had told widmore he would kill his daughter becasue keamy killed alex. and he is at a marina so it kinda points toward penny.

I thought that too, but I think it was a way to get Sayid back on the plane. Think about it, when Sayid was on the plane he was escorted (ah la Kate) by a U.S. Marshall. Kate was being transported back to the states to face murder charges, well Sayid killed those guys in his hotel. I think Ben went to see Sayid, and somehow tipped of the Marshalls. Upon confronting Sayid, Ben was attacked, and Sayid was arrested. I'm sure Ben's lawyer had a hand in transporting Sayid back to Guam.


That would be my guess, but who knows.

But if Sayid is arrested for assault the would arrest him and detain him and the process is slow after that. Why then would he be put on a plane and sent on a plane to Guam of all places only hours after the incident occurs? It doesn't make sense at all.

Maybe they were going to meet up with people in Guam to have him transferred back to his own country for Trial. Sayid did kill the guy who murdered his wife right?

If this is true he would have been detained for a while before they transfer him, not a matter of hours. And if Ben did set up Sayid to get caught for this, he could have done it without Sayid kicking the crap out of him. He's smart enough to figure something else out. I don't think Sayid was really arrested. I think Ilana works for either Widmore or Ben and pretended to arrest him to get back on the plane (I just thought of that as I was typing :))

In the enhanced "316," when Ben tells Jack about the "loose end" he had to tie up, the ticker at the bottom reminds us of Ben's promise to Widmore about killing Penny. It is pretty obvious that is what he did or tried to do. He is also soaking wet when he calls Jack, which no one here seemed to notice. My guess is he at least tried to kill Penny, and Des kicked his ass and threw him in the water at the marina, leaving him for dead.

After seeing the enhanced version I think he either killed Penny or tried to kill Penny. If you pay close attention he calls Jack from a pay phone at a marina. Based on earlier episodes this season it seems like Desmond and Penny have been living on a sail boat.

I brought this up in another thread and I honestly believe we're going to find out Ben got his wounds trying to kill Penny. As we've seen so fsr Ben is just a killen machine!:eek:

Good point about Saiid being arrested and deprted in the same day. I guess painted themselves into a corner and had to come up with something.
