What about what Hurly saw/heard in the cabin!
And what did the "lawyer" say to Hurley during visitation?
I can't remember..."are they alive?"
great episode

So, when locke gave his little speech, claire and the baby and hurley went over to him. So did Sawyer. It is unclear whether or not Bernard and his wife went. I think possibly something happened...possibly to locke also, and Kate and Jack went to "rescue" hurley, sawyer, claire and the baby. Perhaps when they were en route back or something, they were captured and taken off the island. Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Clair and the baby make 6. Just a thought.

Yeah, since Charlie disappeared after Hurley counted to 5, we don't know if Hurley was just imagining it. I'd like to think not. And that "lawyer" guy was creepy. Definately is an Other or part of the Dharma.

When the "lawyer" who came to see Hurley left if you look closely at the door it looked like a trail of the black smoke followed him. I thought it was a shadow at first, but it seemed to linger longer, and suddenly disappear. Also, it looks like Hurley saw something when the lawyer left that startled him a little more.

about an all new "LOST"......
I was NOT thrilled to view another re-cap (FIRST HOUR). I would like to have seen a FULL NEW TWO HOUR EVENT !!! but thanks to the writer's strike this became a viable option. The use of the "time fractured" writing technique, is the ONLY way to tell this story called "LOST".....now a word from our sponsors.....
I saw the blackness after the "lawyer" guy left also. He definately is someone to watch for in the future. He also did ask if they are alive which makes me think that they left some there.

The lawyer and Charlie are there because Hurley is "crazy". He is going MENTAL!
But I think there is more to it then that..... I think that Darmha has something to do with it. He is the only one that can see or hear these people, but there has to be more to it then just being crazy. And Hurley feels guilty about leaving everyone else, or just leaving in general. He plants the "we have to go back" seed to Jack, who replies "WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!" but........ we know that later, after he does grow his beard, he feels the same way.
So because of all that I feel that Hurley is "crazy", but it's controlled by Darma.
There wasn't black smoke after the "lawyer", it was just the door.

Also on the island, Hurley counted to five infront of Jacobs house and the house dissapeared.

that's because after Locke, Hurley has the best connection with "the island". Darma is controlling it.
Did anyone notice the man Hurley saw in the cabin looked like Jack's dad Christian?

They Also Played The "monster" Music When The Lawyer Left And It Looked Like The Black Smoke Monster To Us! We Rewound It A Few Times And It's Definetly The Black Smoke. It Slowley And Then Quickly Moves With The "lawyer".

Ok so I learned a few things from this episode. 1 Hurley can see Jacob and that Jacob can disappear and reappear when he wants. Maybe Charlie is the one to get them off the island still b/c Hurley can see Charlie and Charlie did disappear and reappear. So maybe Charlie is the chosen or special one the others all refer to.
2. People from both camps survive. Jack and kate survive from their camp and tonight we found out that Hurley survives in Lockes camp. And when Hurley said he should have stayed with Jack it leads me to believe that Hurley doesn't change his mind and stick with Locke while on the island.
3. Did anyone else see the picture(a painting) of the dog in Jacobs Cabin so like many people suspect Vincent will have a larger roll to come.( I am very very sure it was a dog that closely resembled Vincent.) You can see it when Hurley is looking in the window
4. I didn't ever see Locke's gunshot wound. Did anyone else?? not sure how to explain this but I'm sure that if there was no gunshot wound(assuming i didn't miss it) it certainly wasn't a mistake.

The Oceanic 6: Jack, Kate, Hurley, (Either Juliet or James because we know that whoever the funeral was for had a name beginning with J), Clair and Aaron (because Desmond saw them get on the helicopter).
The "lawyer" really was there it wasn't Hurley being crazy (the Dr. told him he had a visitor and pointed to him). He is clearly from either the other's or the people that are coming to "rescue" them and wanted to take Hurley back to the island ("a better facility with a view of the ocean").
My question: when Jack pulled the trigger to shoot Locke and it didn't fire, did Locke say "It's not loaded." or "It's not loaded????". If it was a question then he clearly thought that there were still 5 rounds in it and thinks he should have died. If it was a statement (saying that he unloaded the gun) then it is far less fascinating. Either way - we found out that Jack is willing to kill someone to get off the island.

When Hurley saw Charlie at the institution, Charlie confirmed that he is dead. But Charlie was coming to see him anyway. When Hurley counted to 5 in the jungle it was because the way he ran couldn't have had the house there again. So, the house and Charlie were not real things, he used a method he learned in the institution to help him clear his head (I think). Also, remember the story Kate told Jack about how he counts to 5 when he is scared. Interesting that Hurley did the same thing.
I too think Hurley stumbled upon Jacobs house. But, he wasn't that far from the beach, right? That was sort of weird.
Why was their no mention of Michael and Walt in the recap episode? It was as if they were not there at all.
I figured the Oceanic 6 were the same 6 that everyone else mentioned. So, which one of them died? Not Jack or Kate. Not Hurley b/c the Casket was too small. So, who was it?

My first impression about the lawyer was that he is Jacob. Then after he left I thought it was smokie. Maybe they are one in the same. If smokie can shapeshift why couldnt he be anyone he wants.

Have to agree that Jacob looks a lot like Jack's dad in profile. Also, face at the window, could it be Michael? If you recall in last season's finale, when the new chief of surgery tells Jack to go home and sleep it off, Jack responds with something to the effect of "go find my dad and if I'm drunker than him I'll go home" leaving us to believe he may still be alive after all.

In an interview with Hugo's character, he confirms that it IS in fact Christian Shepard in the rocking chair, but he doesn't say if he's Jacob or not. I'll find the article and repost it, it was pretty good though.

Of course there were some left on the island. The commercial for this season was even saying that some were able to leave and some had to stay.

Christian actor is credited with this episode, the only time he appears is the rocking chair :)

When the lawyer is there, Hurley is not the only person who sees him. The nurse is the one who tells him that he has a visitor. And when Charlie shows up, its another patient who tells Hurley that there is someone starring at him.
