am thinking aloud here so its just a nice basic thread!

season one was about the island and setting up the story and meeting the characters.

season two was about the hatch

season three was about the others

i think season four is going to be about those off the island but are still involved, widmore, mittelos, hanso, oceanic etc....might be totally wrong but thats the impression i get so far. bit more conspiracy based this season.

I get that feeling also, a lot more off island point of view. From the first few episodes it looks like S4 could be called "The good, the bad, and the ugly". We have seen the ugly side of a lot of "good" characters so far.

i think its a flashback - i cant say for sure but i think we saw flashbacks for all 4 of the newbies.

No I definitely think it was a flashback...because it was the same time all the stuff was coming on the news regarding flight 815 being found...I think it was the same time as Miles being at the woman's house, Charlotte being over in Tunisia and Frank watching the news himself. They were all flashbacks introducing us to the new characters and what they were about.

and they new the wreckage had been found when they arrived on the island as naomi brought it up - which would support it being a flashback.

Right. That is exactly how I viewed it also. We were getting caught up on the "rescuers" and their backgrounds.

NO KIDDIN' but its great isn't it....we could all be getting into a heck of a lot of trouble if we didn't have all of this to focus on...lol.....bun i definitely see a consp theory here....oceanic is also at the root of the evil i think and penny although good is a major character here cause her Dad is a powerful beast i think:cool:

daniel crying while watching the news is definitely a flashback because they confirmed that in the enhanced version of the episode and also said that the woman was his caretaker and not his wife which is why i mentioned to dzbabykel on another thread that he has severe emotional problems to go along with his acumen for physics and the like

I think you got it right bunnydixon, this season will be fun. Lots of outside perspectives on the island, but still island action!!
