Is it possible to embed YouTube videos in a post? [Archive]

It would be helpful to embed youtube videos and other objects into a post. Is it possible now? If not can it be requested?

Also if I can make requests here, I would like the styling for hyperlinks to be updated because right now links are not underlined and have the same color as the rest of the text, making them invisible unless you mouse over them. I notice that people do not know I have linked to something else if I use the "Insert Link" feature making it practically useless.

If I could really make requests then I would love to limit the size of people's avatar's and signature pics. It really becomes annoying and distracting after a while.

TP,
The large majority of the regular users of this forums enjoy the Avatars and the sig pics. You're a relative newbee here and your trying to change the whole personality of the site. You keep whining about this subject and seem to think that your are more important than those of people who have been on this for a long time and spend great dreal of time here. If it bothers you so much go to the options on your browser and adjust it so it doesn't show pictures OR find another site that more closely meets your preferences. We like it here just like it is.

you're right i posted this before i found the settings to remove those features. i still don't want to remove them though because then i might end up missing parts of the conversation that everyone else is seeing.

but i understand what you're saying... i mean to each his own but in my opinion the images get in the way and makes the page load slower. i also don't like the borders around each post for the same reason.

anyway... i notice i can now embed youtube videos! i don't know if i just wasn't doing it correctly before or if the feature has been added. either way i am grateful. notsolost42, i hope you will enjoy this exceptionally long and boring video about physics =).

sorry I am editing my previous post because i answered some of my own questions. i see that here in the HTML Sandbox and in the General Discussion forums HTML is ON so we can post HTML objects such as youtube videos. I would like to be able to do this in more places since I cannot do it in the Season 5 section.

i don't know how vBulletin works but i think you can make custom BB tags for youtube? i saw this thread http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=199304 but i believe the admins have to do this.
