So does the latest episode - Lafleur mean that the Writers have confirmed Richard Alpert is wearing Guyliner/or the character is wearing it to make him look Egyptian?? - Sawyer said the guy outside wearing eyeliner to Horris!

it doesnt confirm it, i think it was just a little joke for the fans based on the amount of speculation there is that he wears make up!

the guy looks the same no matter what movie/tv show he is in and there have been plenty of reports published (and links pasted on here on various threads) that he does NOT wear eyeliner.

I found this pic of him which looks like he just has dark eye lines?? lol?, but there was an episode recently where it looked ridiculously thick and exaggerated + its co-incidental that there is a statue that looks very egyptian and the hieroglyphics in the Hatch. so maybe the writers threw it in there because of all the speculation from the fans??

This is all correct - those are his natural eyes.

OMFG!!! I cannot believe this is still being discussed. It has been refuted so many times, it is ridiculous a basic search of threads would show this..

I do however, LOVE the razzing of Lost fans with the writers throwing in that Sawyer line.. i laughed at that too..

They threw more than just that line in for us. They also threw in the Jerry, Phil, Rosie and the brownies scene. It's a reference to the Grateful Dead who played in Egypt in 1978 at the foot of the Great Pyramids and Sphinx. My signature line is words from a Dead song. I have posted the words from another song of theirs, The Wheel, on here before also. I sent Damen a post about Richard Alpert being Egyptian a while back.
This is really fun for everyone! They do read our postings, don't kid yourself. So, if you are posting nasties to other people here or anywhere, well, they probably won't pay much attention to you at all! LOL!!!

What are you getting at? You think they wrote things into the show based on your comments???

Nestor Carbonell has said in an interview that they are natural and him and his brother always joke about it...
