Seems like we have been given clues for ages throughout this show.
I was watching an episode from S2 - the one where Sayid gets a walkie talkie going (one that Bernard had) and manages to get some music from a far off radio station. The music being played was (I think) Glen Miller song...."Moonlight Serenade" or something like that. Anyways, Sayid tells Hurley that they can pick up the radio frequency from 1000's of miles away. Something else is said (can't remember what) and Hurley then asks Sayid "WHEN ARE WE?" Then he says "just kidding". Well, that line makes a bit more sense now.....
