I'll answer a few:
Locke has many knives cos he brought a whole set to take with him to the walkabout.
Locke(new leader of the Others) was also jumping in time as well as Juliet.
Probably cos the island chooses who it wants to skip through time.
They have geothermal generators to produce the electricity.

He brought a few for his walkabout in Australia. And the real question should be - why did security let him through with all of them? I think the Swan hatch may have also had knives with all the other weaponry it had.

That brings up another question. If in fact it is geothermal power, there might be a volcano on the island. A lot of pacific islands have them or were created by them. Maybe this is source of the smoke monster. with all the seismic activity caused by messing with swan maybe we will get an eruption.

There is a volcano on the island. They refer to it in the episode where we see young Ben in the Dharma classroom.

Don't remember ever seeing a volcano on the island,but there were rocks of lava that Bernard used for his SOS sign.
Could be an eruption coming,maybe at the end of season 6,to end the show.

I believe this has something to do with the Temple. After Richard and the Others helped to save Ben, they knew Ben was headed back to the Orchid. Richard and the Others likely took security in the Temple. (Ben already told Alex to go here, and mentioned the Others were there before they saved him) So, I think the Temple may prevent you from the "flashing" This being said, I would also have to assume that Ben/Richard knew Ben moving/mis-moving the island would cause "flasing". Once the flashing had stopped (thanks to Locke) the Others were able to leave the Temple.

You are correct,I just remembered.
But we(the viewers) haven't actually seen the volcano and don't know it's exact location.
It may be dormant or may have erupted sometime recently,hence the lava rocks and smokie.

BUT LOCKE FLASHED WHEN HE WAS STANDING WITH THE OTHERS,

This was my initial thought. However, when Ben turns the wheel we saw Locke with Richard and the Others. And after the first flash of light, Richard and the Others were gone and only Locke was left. If they were simply protected by the Temple, then Locke should have been protected as well.

I think it's ad simple as the Others having a natural protection from the flashes. Juliet was branded and exiled from the Others so she didn't have the protection. And Locke hasn't been "initiated" yet so he also wasn't protected.

Absolutely agreed. The Temple likely plays a role in accepting someone as an Other. When Rousseau's crew came out of what we assume is the Temple, they had totally changed and her husband was acting like an Other, like he had an epiphany and understood everything about the island. Perhaps the same thing happened to Cindy and the kids who were taken by the Others - they seemed at home when Jack saw them.

1.the flash which blew up the swan
2.the flahses on the island which took Locke and the remaining losties inc Juliet.

That was a classic scene. Charlie hands her the shirt and she says with an ashamed look "It was full of bees" and Charlie responds "I'd have guessed C's actually". I laughed my butt off.
