View Full Version : Sayid is smarter than we are...

After seeing that the last episode had to deal with some sort of time difference between the island and the freighter and then Sayid talking about selling his soul before trusting Ben, I think we've been tricked. This story is far to complicated for us to really think that Sayid is working with Ben. Because of the topics in this last episode I strongly believe that the last 5 minutes took place before Sayid killed the man on the golf course. I think that the man on the golf course has something to do with Dharma or Penny's father or even someone that has been giving Ben his orders. Everyone has a boss. I think that when Sayid got on to the helicopter he had in his mind that somehow he would befriend Ben and "finish" this whole story about the island. Obviously time in this show is a huge part. I think that the writer's place things out of order to trap the viewer then surprise 'em at the end. Just a little food for thought. I wouldn't be surprise if the last scene of the series is Sayid walking through the sprinklers carrying his golf clubs.

:cool:don't say that 'bout the last scene....man would i be pissed....good ideas though...i feel that the writers let us see that Sayid is NOT working with Ben but working FOR Ben only because Ben is holding several things over his head....the safety of his friends on the island......and who knows possible Nadia...he seemed to resent Ben greatly and seemed detested by his non sympathetic character. I think that you are RIGHT on the timing of things....i think that things are definitely put in the wrong order to fool us a little

Yes, I reckon the order of things that have happened are scrambled too, I just wish we could have at least two episodes per week, it's such a long wait!

Yah it wouln't surprise me one bit if they have the flashforwards out of order to confuse us and also to shock us....the more I think about it, the more I believe that to be true.

I second your proposal. I'm not saying this is exactly how it is going to turn out but this whole flash forward thing is going to mess us up bigtime! We know its in the future but not how far in the future, 1 year 3 years 7 years? I month 1 year 2 months? We just don't know its gonna get really hard to follow, I do kinda want to be amazed though, so I hope it turns out really cool!

There are still a lot of episodes left...What if this story is just a streaming cycle. Sayid could become the new Ben. All of this has happened before and that's why Ben seems to be 5 steps ahead of everyone.

This can't be true. Because remember when he's talking to Ben in the last scene Ben is stitching Sayid's wound from the bullet Isla put in his shoulder.
I think in this episode it was all in order. I don't think it jumped around.

Speaking Of The Last Scene Has Anyone Spoke About How Ben Sounded So Olddddddddddddddd At First Then It Focused In To His Now Voice......wierd

Nice idea, but I do not see it that way. If the guy on the golf course was the last hit, then he would have known Sayid was after him. He would have had security and known what Sayid looked like. He would not have been so casual about approaching Sayid.

I like your idea here and I also think they vary it as the last member said. That, of course, makes it even trickier than mixing it up. I guess we'll all turn out to be geniuses or blithering idiots for trying to follow Lost.Never give up.

My thought is that the time on the golf course is long into the future. I feel like the man that was shot looked so surprised because he felt safe and completely shocked that Sayid or the Oceanic 6 were still even a thought. A decade had passed and things were forgotten. He seemed nervous when Sayid said Oceanic 6 but when he gave his name the man's face was struck with terror. Fade to black... "LOST" slowly turn enlarge toward screen.

I still stand by my theory that the murder on the golf course is the end of the series. I think Michael is only a spy because he still hasn't gotten Walt. In the promo Michael says he's there to die. I think he's just coming to the realization that he'll never see Walt again. Somewhere in the near future Sayid switches place with Michael in the promise that Michael can again see Walt. Ben would much rather have Sayid at his command instead of the wuss Michael. Sayid will see it as a great deal. He can bring back a father and son and he can get closer to Ben to finally end things. Sayid is by far the most complex character...

There are always clues, hints, if you will. I know I watch the episodes a few times to try and catch the clues, like Jin being married only two months ago and the year of the dragon. I think that was before the Island. I think he was still on the Island when the baby was born and she went to the bodyless grave to say she missed him. I think Hurley is there and no one else, not Jin's family, not her family because Hurley is one who is trusted and knows the truth. I also think they are getting ready to go back to the Island. She safely had the baby. Jin stayed good on the Island, and Jack is figuring out how to get back. Sayid, ohhhhhhh, I just dont know. I want him to be good, and maybe he really is, and we just have not seen enough to know yet.

I need 2 shows a week just to keep up! A new show every 3 days would be perfect.

Yea, the order is always a mix. But frankley I'm a bit annoyed with Sayid. The mastermind, determined, fellow is meekly sitting on the freighter for a whole week. He should head lock the captain. Get some tools and get some info! I think it's not true to the character we've seen. I know it's important for the storytelling and for whatever happens that get's him mixed up with Ben. but still I'm bummed.

ok..just a thought...what if sayid really is not one of the 6...i know i know..the 6 have been revealed...sayid is working for ben...ben somehow got off the island and with sayid working with him they could have came together..we do not know how far in the future the golf course, nadia events are..no clues to time on that episode....so the guy could have been surprised when sayid said that cause sayid was not one he reckognized from the media swarm...he can have money, cause ben apparently has access to alot of things...just a thought..

Maybe Sayid gave up Michael so that the Captain trusts HIM and he is working for Ben.......or is that too obvious.

i read that some escaped the island other ways..that may have just been where walt and michael were off the island..however, he could be telling someone he is one of the 6 because he knew he was going to kill the guy and no one would know....im just thinking could this just yet again be another twist to confuse us....ya never know!

tbh bena nd sayid are similar characters, they both are very good at planning things out and gathering information in a cunning way

I agree-I think that the golf course scene comes later. Maybe Michael's collaboration with Ben becomes positive, and then Sayid also collaborates. Perhaps they all work together to ward off Widmore.
