I was rewatching every episode of Lost, i hadnt dont that yet. In the episode "man behind the curtain" the creators of Lost give you a little something to the mystsery of Jacob. When Locke and Ben are in the cabin and Locke flashes his flashlight, the place goes crazy. Well after Ben says to the invisible person in the chair, "thats enough, youv'e had your fun" he gets thrown up against the wall. RIGHT AFTER THAT...you can see a silhoutte of a man sitting in the chair with long hair and maybe a beard. Is this Jacob? It looks like its shown through the eyes of Locke and all the commotion allowed him to see Jacob, but just for a moment. You have to pause it and go frame by frame. It's very quick.

I personally haven't seen where it is said, but people have said TPTB said that was actually someone on the crew and was just a stand in so that's not what Jacob is actually going to look like.

so that's not what Jacob is going to look like? a rare mistake for the Lost creators, don't you think?

I think that Jacob will end up looking something like that; it's just that they didn't/don't have an actor cast to be Jacob yet. So they stuck some prop guy there, and probably dressed him how they knew they wanted Jacob to look.

On the dvd they show the guy they used and he kinda already looks like the guy in the cabin meaning they didn't dress him up too much for the part.

Yep, im really new. not to lost. i've been following it since the first preview way back when. i knew i would love it... but as far as blogs and postings i never saw the point. just a bunch of nerds sitting in their moms basements eating cheetos and downloading, well you know what you download... but when it comes to Lost i just had to get involved. i love the show and it is its own... culture. how could someone pass on getting involved in the blogosphere when "the Internet brought me here, it brought us all here."

As it is not allowed to ask questions in the most recent Jacob topic in the section of season 5, I"ll do it here.
Probably it was already discussed somewhere but I can't find it.

Does Jacob really hate technology?
Or is the interference of EM from any electrical tool what makes it impossible to manifest Jacob without jamming the Jacob system up?
