clues about jacob

helloo everyone. long time reader and this is my first post.


I read on a previous post that we have all seen jacob on the show, but he hasnt had any lines. I have some theories. Jacob maybe a shape shifter? Vincent has been a kind of key to hidden things. He had the key to the vw van that hurley found? didnt he help locke find the hatch? He could have become Christian Shepard for Jack. I dont exactly remember that episode but didnt Jack find something by following his dad? Kate and the horse? Sawyer and the Frog? All of these things could have been Jacob. Also the black smoke. but that doesnt explain the fence post. Anyone have anything to add?

i think its possible that he can change into anyones shape...be anything or anyone that he wants.....eko's brother....jack's Dad....maybe he is also helping the losties relive their past therefore dealing with issues that they have "run" away from....good points...i need to look back at that episode with Jack...i remember him following his Dad into the jungle but I thought that John Locke then comes out with the wild boar that he has knifed and killed

Dude I don't have anything to add, except you may be onto to something. Others have discussed it. I personally don't hope so, because I think it maybe a cop out to explain alot of the themes. I think they would have to be very creative in tying Jacob to the island as a shape shifter for me to enjoy that part of the story.

Ok, Season 1 - Pilot.....shows Jacks Eye......then He See's The Dog.........................in A Screen Shot That Was Cut Out Of That Episode, Showed Christian Sheppered Directing The Dog 2 Jack....so Im Not So Sure About That But Maybe Thats Why It Was Cut Out...lol

also hurley and his friend from the mental institute. could it be that jacob was testing him?

When hurley was runing threw the woods scard half to death he found by himself what i think is jacob's cabin and remenber how hurley can see things well i think that hurley saw jacob in the window of the cabin when hurley looked threw an eye poped up

or i think it was locke it looked kinda like locke's eye

I love every theory that has been made and i am still intrigued to find out the end results. I think that since they have declared 2010 the last season it is great to know there is an end insight. My problem is that in an interview on one of the DVD's the writers basically said they make it up as they go along. I dont know if anybody else saw that but I know it killed my perception of the show.

ummm i have never seen that interview.... i have seen alot of interviews that seem as if the writers know exactly what is going to happen. also dont you think if they didnt have a plan they would have writen themselvs into a corner by now or they would stop creating more and more questions for themselvs to answer by the end. i believe they know exactly where they are going and what is happening and how they are going to show it which is what alows them to keep jerking the viewers around. but please find me the disc and and title of that interview so that i may view it for myself. thanks

think there was a lot of talk about this before and jacob being the black smoke etc....it would explain a lot of things but does seem like too easy an explanation.

i saw that interview and i think he was refurring to the script they make up as they go. but the basic outline of the show and all the major stuf is outlined and planned out.
