When Sayid was golfing he mentioned about a settlement payment he'd received from Oceanic. Check this out from the HansoAir website back in 2006

Official Defense Attorney Statement
October 3, 2006

HansoAir takes any and all lawsuits very seriously. Be assured that this civil lawsuit will be fought and overturned in the same manner as past suits against Hanso and its subsidiaries. The defense lawyers at The Hanso Foundation are very confident that any prosecuting attorneys who think the courts will side with them are mistaken.

HansoAir would also like to rebuke the ridiculous allegations put forth by Mack Thompson Law. At no point did HansoAir terminate the employment of any of its employees in an illegal or discriminatory way. At HansoAir we cherish every member of our team we were forced to make layoffs for purely financial reasons. Mr. Thompson may remember that when HansoAir acquired Oceanic Airlines there were Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings under way. The fincial status at HansoAir justified the lay offs.

Although not directly associated with the suit, HansoAir also clarifies that no illegal activities involving the Auto Pilot systems for Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 took place. These supposed illegal activities are fabricated for the lawsuit by Mack Thompson Law and have zero basis on reality.

The Hanso Foundation is currently considering a counter-suit against Mack Thompson Law. The Foundation has dealt with incoherant accusations that Mack Thompson's step-father was kidnapped and/or murdered by The Hanso Foundation. You can read about it at Mack Thompson's Bio, the long time source of Libel against us. The accusations by Mr. Thompson have been dismissed as mentally unstable ramblings for many years but The Hanso Foundation can no longer afford to leave them unaddressed. We view this lawsuit as a serious attack which requires an equal and opposite reaction. Please look for updates in the near future.

Why does it say Mack Thompson is 86 years old. He looks rather good for 86. Didn't it also say that he was adopted?

Does this settlement include the "Gold Pass" or whatever it is that Jack has in the S3 finale? He gets to fly anywhere he wants for free.

Yah I just posted that on the thread "HansoAir" and I think there are tons of stuff on there that could be important....moste importantly the Hanso Adoption Agency. Don't forget Locke grew up in some adoption place, could it be the same one?? And if so....whats the significance??

Mr. Thompson now uses his talents and powers to discover himself and his past.

Did anyone else think this quote from the Thompson website was interesting.
Just since this island is in the past idea and "special" people and what not.

Hmmm...Locke adopted. Wonder if his dad was a Hansonian or maybe Locke was placed with him so he could watch over Locke.
