ok, im sure this was brought up as a theory many times before, that they are all dead on the island, but thats not what im talking about. Theres something Ben said in the Finale that just got me to thinking. Before Jack was ready to make the call, Ben said:

"If you make that call, every single LIVING person on this island will be killed"

At first i passed it off as a normal Ben thing to say, but then i got wondering, why did he say living? Obviously every person on the island would be living, because if they were dead they wouldnt need to be killed, right? so shouldnt
Ben have said:

"If you make that call, every single person on the island will be killed"

It has me wondering, are some of the people on that island in fact dead? but move around as if they were alive, kind of like Charlie when he met Hurley in the flash forward?

There has been a theory that the Mysterious Richard Alpert was once on board the Black Rock, the slave ship from the 1800's. If he died in that wreck, his spirit could somehow have been wandering the island. If he is like Charlie, perhaps it would explain how he left the island and recruited Juliet, and whatever else he did....

I know! It's killing me... Richard hasn't seemed to age in the 30-35 years since he first met Ben... and then there's Mikial, who seems invincible! This place is like the fountain of youth or something, I swear....

So, is Locke dead... or extremely lucky to be shot in the torso, rolled into a ditch and now have such a spring in his step?

Hey Jmar!!

I think that comment could have been referring to Jacob and Smokey? Maybe. I didn't think much of it until you mentioned it.

And-I think the Island healed Locke's wound, the same way it healed Naomi's branch wound when she parachuted in. But why wouldn't it heal her knife wound.

Also something to think about. :-) Ben never said the "Rescuers" would kill everyone. Perhaps Something else will. :-) has shown it's self as excushner and judge and I'll leave it at that. :-)

Also. the island is highly infused with Electromagtism. A substance that is known for the effect of the dead talking to you or appearing to you. Science saids it's just an illussion. While the one's who have ha dthis experiance claim some of the images they saw they did not know.

- Maybe because Locke is "special" and has that connection with the island-any actions he takes on the island are permanent and therefore cannot be healed or reversed. Not sure...just a thought.
