I didn't realize that they guy Desmond replaced was the same guy that talked Sayid into torturing that commanding officer.

Yes, Kelvin Inman was the military man in Iraq that "persuaded" Sayid to be a torturer. One of the many interconnections between all of the characters.

and isn't it interesting that all that time Kelvin NEVER saw Syaid on the Island ??....stay turned.....

Well, if you are referring to seeing Sayid in the 1970's, we really don't have an answer for that yet. In fact, we do not really know exactly when Kelvin arrived on the island. So, as far as I'm concerned we don't know anything about it yet. As for him seeing Sayid in 2004, he died the day the plane crashed so he wouldn't have seen Sayid then either.

I believe Kate's dad ( her step-dad, not the one she offed) was the officer in command of the operation. When they dumped him in the middle of Iraq, he was in the 5ton truck and showed a picture of kate when she was a little girl.

^Sam Austen "Kates stepfather" was Sayids captor in the War.

Also Radzinsky lived in the Swan and press the button every 108 minutes with Kelvin Joe Inman. Kelvin claimed that Radzinsky killed himself by putting a shotgun in his mouth. Hmmm !!! I dont think Kelvin arrived on the Island until after the war in Iraq.

Which one? Bush seniors or Bush juniors war? I'm gonna guess seniors war because I think when Inman dumped Sayid off in the middle of the desert if I remember right he said they were pulling out. Desert Storm was 1990 to 1991. I'm gonna guess that Kelvin got there at some point after 1991 but before 2001. LOL!!!! Sometime during those ten years!!!
