OK this Video is from last Year,I've been reading peoples thoughts on it and they say that Daniel Faraday is the one Recording this Video. So if he is what has changed his mind about the Past not being able to be changed? Which brings me to my next Theory maybe like some people have said Sayid shoots Young Ben in this Weeks Episode. And this proves to Dan that the Past can be changed, so he goes into hiding and tells Chang all about the Future?

But the order for the Purge did not originate with Ben it originated with Alpert or Jacob. So if the DI was meant to die they will whether its Ben as the Leader of the Others or someone else. As Richard said, the fence may keep out other things but not them and the only thing that keeps them out is the Truce

They all thought they would die if no one was able to change the past. And they will. But, at the end of the video Dan says it's useless because you can't change what happened.

Have you listened to the video? All I am doing is repeating what Dan says on the video. It's not my opinion, it's what was said. Dan is a fatalist. He thinks that they are condemned to die. They all know they are going to die in the purge if no one changes whatever needs to be changed. If it involves Widmore, as the leader of the others and having ordered the purge, then I guess Ben is doing the right thing. He has manipulated events so that everyone is on the island at one particular time. Perhaps he will manipulate events so that Chuckie is no longer on the island before the purge...if he really was there in the first place that is.

I took it as he's doubting the ability to transmit to the future...

First of all, I am no time travel guru. but thanks for the compliment. I think one of the most important variables in anything is human nature. Is that what you mean?
