What ever happened to the good old mysteries. The smoke...the numbers...
I really hoped that we'd get more answers this season. But...I'm very pleased with what is happening. I think that Sayid is a KEY figure in the whole story and Ben is a bit player. I have a strange feeling that the pilot of Flight 815 knew "about" where to fly in order to get to the island...just like the helicopter... remember...the pilot was the first one gobbled by smoky.

The numbers is actually my favourite ongoing theme! It was quite unusual to have an episode with Hurley in without mention of the numbers!

I think the numbers will come back into play somehow with Daniel.

Speaking of unsolved mysteries, here's my list of questions that I want answers to:

1) Smokey
2) Numbers
3) The Runway (Kate and Sawyer were working on)
4) Richard Alpert and the original inhabitants
5) Jacob
6) Christian Sheppard (if not answered by number 5!)

OH yah the numbers play a very important role...the Valenzetti equation which I believe predicts when the end of the world will be. I think the Dharma Initiative's purpose or goal was regarding that very thing.

Hey, I just thought of something. I'm new here, so if this is already posted...sorry! Regarding the numbers, remember that Hurley originally got those numbers from another guy in the mental hospital when he was locked up the first time. So that guy has to have a link to the island somehow too...perhaps he was assigned to enter the numbers in the computer at one time? What does everyone think?

Yeah, I think we'll eventually learn more about that guy..

Lostpedia says this about him:
"Leonard Simms was a U.S. naval officer stationed in the South Pacific before and/or during 1988. With his friend and fellow officer Sam Toomey, Leonard monitored longwave radio transmission at a government listening post." It says they picked up a transmission of the numbers.. Sam used the numbers for something and all this crap started to happen to him (remember that woman that Hurley went to visit in Aus? Sams widow).
