Were running out of daylight for this show, and they so far have these characters (a couple of the most meaningful ones) Desmond and Locke sitting idle. While, we get to watch things like Hurley serving waffles  Times running out writers MOVE it along.. Or else expect a rushed explanation to a lot questions as season 6 gets closer... But i'll be patient....

Not complaining about the season at all... Just the lack of screen time/story for 2 ppl who were told they were "special".

They'll get there. The biggest problem with all this time traveling stuff is that it takes them a while to set it all up. They have to show how Sawyer became part of Dharma, how Jack and Kate got back, what happened to Locke, etc before they can get back to the bigger stories involving Locke and Desmond.

Yeah, really! Last episode was kind of disappointing for me.. still totally entertaining, but not enough missing pieces put back for a show with a limited amount of episodes left and so many unanswered questions!

In case you haven't figured it out, Hurley is the CIO (cheif information officer) of the losties. If you want to spread rumors, tell Hurley. He was doing much more than serrving waffles, he was serving the info that Sawyer and Juliet were "together."

I think in giving us answers to the many questions posed in Season 1, TPTB had unleashed our appetite for answers as the show has come along. Think of all the questions that went unanswered in Season 1.... it was just pile after pile of new questions.

Let's be patient.

Yep, still waiting to find out about that Walt kid. Anyone remember him?

I've waited this long on him, I can wait a little longer for newer questions.

As far as we know,Locke is on the small island with Caesar and Ilana.
Hopefully they will have him back in the coming episode.
Desmond was last seen leaving the Lamp post in disgust and saying that the island may not be done with him,but he is done with the island.
He must be back on his boat with (or without) Penny and his son.

Well, Sayid wasn't the one who bloodied Ben at the docks...So it may be feasible to assume that Penny and/or Desmond may be injured/dead.

If Penny is dead, then I think Desmond could be injured, but I don't think he is dead.

Yeah, I know, I know.. part of the awesomeness of Lost is that every show answers one or two questions and throws us a whole bunch new ones.. it's what keeps us all here, and wherever else, talking about it.. but I can't help but want more now that we know there's a definite end in sight!

In fairness to the show, this is the first episode that I can remember that I was disappointed by.. Even the Nicki and Paulo filler episode was pretty cool in it's own right.

Are you referring to 5.10?
What was disappointing about it?
It answered an important question:
How did Sayyid end up on the plane and in handcuffs? Now we know.

Personally I thought it was one of the best and most entertaining episodes this season so far.

It's not that I thought it was awful.. but I wasn't all that curious about how Sayid ended up on the plane.. and although I'm sure it's really important who Ilana is working for, I'm not all that curious about that, either. I think it's just that I'm obsessing over certain questions to the point where other things don't matter so much to me.

Also, it was Sayid-centric and I'm still mad at him over what a jerkf he was to Locke. Kate too. I get annoyed whenever I see either of their faces!

I take it you are not a fan of Sayyid-centric episodes.
At that time Jack and most people were jerks to Locke,Ben tried to kill him and even Rose said,"I'm not going anywhere with that man".So you are mad at Sayyid n Kate but not Jack,,Ben,Rose, others etc.
This was cos they didn't understand what he understood about the island, that is why he kept things secret from the start.

Well put, no one trusted Locke. I just watched the season 1 finale last night and Jack says to Kate, "if we survive this, we're going to have a Locke problem." so some of the losties are poised to be jerks to Locke very early on.

Then again, how do you explain that the black smoke could have revealed the islands secrets to him if jack had just let Locke go down the hole.

and sayid eps...well they arent always the best, but i'm glad to see them get back to have episodes centered around one persons story...this way some time can be spent answering questions. unfortunately i get this feeling they wont be answering the desmond questions for another 3-4 weeks.

Sayid used to be one of my favorites, it's only since the J.B. episode that I don't like him or Kate. I understand that they don't know what he knows, but still.. it doesn't matter to me. Jack was jerky too, but that was kind of expected.

Most of them have been jerky to him from the beginning, but in JB it was different.. they were SO self-righteous and mean to him, it just changed how I see them.

Edit: It was more like they were being mean solely for the purpose of hurting him.

Okay but I don't think Sayyid or Kate were particularly rude to him, they just refused his request to go back. But you're entitled to your opinions.
Jack was a real jerk to him in the hospital,"what are you doing here?you have delusions etc".
Ben was the worst to him by killing him, even though he may have had a reason to do that.

Maybe they had to be mean to him. We can again draw the Jesus comparison...like when Peter denied Christ three times.

Locke had to be outcast to be sacrificed....

just a thought.

To reply to some... I know full well the storylines of both Locke and Desmond.. I'm just expressing a little, and I mean a little, frustration.. That they aren't getting more screen time, in regards to how important they are said to be... I'm on the side of the fence that says SCREW the dam relation ships, it's time for the mythology... And yes I know we'll get there..

Just a mid season rant as to why two of the best characters are ridding the bench this year....

If I was grading the writers, like a teacher during mid terms, Locke's character gets a C+ and Des a D-... But the good news is it's only half way, there's room for MAJOR improvement by the end of this season..
