Rewatching 5.8, LaFleur, and something seems odd to me. When Horace was hammered, throwing dynamite around and stumbling all over the place, he was awfully close to the pylons (sp?). When Miles and LaFleur go out to retrieve him, James says "you wanna tell Amy where we found him?" No worries about telling her that he was trashed, passed out on the ground after tossing sticks of explosive, just where he was. Why would they be concerned about where he was? Why would Amy be so concerned about where he was? And by the way, he was 'by the Flame.' So what's so significant about him going to the Flame drunk. It did look like he walked through the barrier without any repercussion as well.

I might be making mountains of mole hills here, but it just struck me as a peculiar thing to say.

I think the where... is that he was so close to the pylons and, therefore, close to breaking the treaty. It's not much of stretch for the Hostiles/Others to consider tossing dynamite about a truce breaking act.

Though I agree... you'd think the bits about being drunk and tossing dynamite would be a tad harder to explain.

They were probably concerned about him being snatched up by the hostiles. Amy would be pissed if she knew she was that close to having to raise the baby on her own.

It would have brought back bad memories for Amy of when her first husband was killed when they were outside of the pylons. She would have been much more upset over the seriousness of that verses Horace being stinking drunk.
