Widmore and Jacob vs. Ben

Not sure if this has ever brought up, but has any one ever thought that Ben and Jacob may not be on the same side. Maybe Ben s just out for himself. I think that Ben may be holding Jacob captive. This is why Jacob said help me to Locke. Ben shot him because he does not want Locke to find out that he is holding Jacob captive. I think Ben has lied to Richard about this. I think that Widmore could on the side of Jacob. In the episode the Economist, Elsa mentioned that the Economist was "old-fashioned," especially when it came to technology. This leads me to believe that Jacob could be the Economist. Ben could be trying to kill Jacob's guys off island to get total control of the island.

Very interesting and possible too.
Who knows Ben's real agenda which is masked by all those lies he tells?
I think he is power crazed and wants to keep control of the island,Widmore also wants the same thing.
Widmore did tell Ben that the island was his and will be again,and that everything Ben took he took from him.

I do know this, Ben was doing something to Jacob or he (Jacob) wouldn't of made himself known to Locke back in season 3.
