Pointless characters, they had to find a creative way to get rid of them I guess. If I remember correctly a lot of people were not happy with the addition of back story to even more people on the show. I guess the producers got the hint.

Other than Nikki being really hott. No real essence to the story of Lost. And Paolo or whatever his name is, well just a good looking guy to be with the incredibly hot Nikki

I think they were just a fill-in. I don't think they were significant (except that they were not good people and justice prevailed). Their punishment was being buried alive.

I think their Significance was that they were "bad" people and by being buried alive that was their penance for what they had done !!! Like the island wanting "sacrifices".....but punished the "evil" ones..

just my thoughts....havent quite figured out the meaning of them being on the island !!!! one of those things that make you go "hmmmm" !!!!

yeah like that episode was pretty random........ maybe teh extras were just like "When's my episode gonna come?" and like, the producers got tired of them so they were like "Ok, you get an episode, and you die, happy now?"

I think that they were there just so that Hurley's dad can watch episodes of Expose.:cool:
