It's true. On the Official Podcast on Vcast you see the stuntman/actor that plays charlie and he holds up his hand to the camera.

That is so cool, I didn't even notice it lastnight! I wonder who "they" are...all the flash forwards refer to "them" like when that guy comes in the Asylum and wants to know if "they" are still alive and not to mention this huge secret Hurley and Jack have kept. I wonder if it refers to people who were left behind on the island?? Ahh I love this show!

charlie's hand says "they need you" just like he says to hurley outside the mental institution....i think that jack and hurley know that they have to pretend there were no other survivors so they will live....maybe the island/jacob/?? is using the image of charlie to try and luer them back

I think that the "they" are the other survivors of the crash that remained behind, they may be in trouble or somthing. And the big secret that Jack , hurley and kate were talking about was that there were other survivors other than just those six. They didn't tell because the other survivors wanted to stay, and if they told it would risk the security of the island. I still want to figure out who those six are and how they got out.
