I went to the FAA Registry and looked up the helicopter in The Economist episode.

Well as Hurley would say "Look closer dude", at the bottom where it says purpose or whatever it says Argiculture/pest control. Maybe this chopper was used to spray pesticides on crops, makes sense since it was issued in montana. Maybe the fab 4 were gonna use the chopper to spray somthing onto the island as a test, hence the gas masks this makes sense. Assuming this is real, may I remind you.:cool:

well the Certificate Issue Date: 06/15/2007 is what stood out to me..what does that mean?

I don't think it means anything.. If that's something real, as in real life, not real for the show, then the 2007 date means nothing except that the show got it for filming last year. The show wouldn't be able to change FAA records.
