but it was ok i was thinking that there was only 42 right and 6 get to leave that would leave 36 and that is strange that that is how many lines the Dharma initiative logo has is 36 see

I think it may have actually been referenced in the last epi. I'm not sure now if it was Jack or Hurley who mentioned the number of survivors to one of the fab four. I'm sure it was Hurley. He gave an approximate count and was trying to figure it out loud, but Locke gave him the look to shut up around one of the newbies and he did. I believe they have referenced the number throughout, but I've lost an accurate count, but we do know it will end up being one of the numbers for sure. I wonder if it is a countdown also, where we will be left with just 4 in the final epi.

lostpedia doesnt help as it has some of the background survivors listed so altogether there are around 11 dead which leaves 37

hurley did give the count but i had it on the dvr but someone took it off to make room for something else STUPID!!!
