Do you guys think the importance of the numbers will play a role in the story again ?? They were critical before. Rousseau's team was lead to the island by the broadcast of the numbers. Lenny and Sam Toomey heard the numbers at the Navy listening post in Australia. That sequence of numbers was stamped on the hatch of the Swan station and they just happened to be the sequence of #'s to diffuse the electromagnetic buildup. Hurley got the #'s from Lenny and ended up on the Island etc. , etc. , etc.
Right now it looks to me like the numbers have been "set aside". I don't see how they connect with where we're headed in S4, BUT, I'm not as "plugged in" to all the theories, spoilers etc as many of you are.........just looking for input.

I Agree It Has Always Looked Like The Numbers Were "the" Big Mystery Of Lost. They Are Hidden In Every Episode. Everything Has Something To Do With One Of The Numbers. Remember That Thing A While Back About The Valenzetti Equation? Thats Supposed To Be What The Numbers Represent. Im Sure It Will Come Up Again, But Season 4 Is Probably Mostly About Who These Boat People Are And All That. Also I Want To Know When Michael Comes Back. He Was Supposed To Be A Series Regular In Season 4... So We Are 3 Eps In And No Sign Of Him. Lost Is Such A Big Puzzle I Think They Cant Get It Moving Fast Enough. Each Episode Needs To Be 3 Hours Long, That Would Be Nice.

i think the numbers still crop up here and there. but the focus isnt directly on them right now - although i am sure we will get back to them eventually.

I agree, they are never going to be done with the Numbers and their relation to everything. But at the moment they just have different plot lines to discover.

Yes the numbers are still all over in the show. BUT the main purpose of the numbers has already been revealed through Lost Experience so whether they play a big role again is unknown.
