I was wondering about that too. I was thinking it was Miles in exchange for Charlotte (because I never remember all this stuff, hence I have to come on these message boards so all the true Lost fanatics can tell me what I missed-LOL), but I think you're right. Anyone have guesses? I think whatever it is has to do with why he wants to go to the freighter. I also re-watched last week's ending and Sayid definitely knows Naomi it seems!

It was Miles.. that's why Sayid brought him along with no arguement. Kate wasn't captured, she decided on her own to stay.

The trade was for Miles. If you remember, they were all caught initially. Kate I think choose to stay to keep watch over Miles for Sayid and I think to find out what she found out from Miles about what he knew of her past ( she was checking her odds of freedom if she went back )

i dunno. locke already had captured miles. and the way sayid responded to locke made me think sayid's trade bait was not something as obvious as miles. we shall see.

I think Locke realizes that if Sayid wanted Miles back, he could get him back. Miles was definitely part of the deal.

Yeah, I don't think it was Miles either islander. I don't know what it is, but what triggered this thinking on my part was when Locke asked Kate what Miles said to Ben. He didn't seem very surprised, in fact his reaction was that of "Oh, OK that kinda makes sense" (<-----my words, not Locke's). Maybe Locke gor some info in exchange for Charlotte that ties in with Miles request for the 3.2 mill and his lying for Ben?

- It is possible that Sayid promises Locke to tell him who the spy is and who the freighters are once he gets there, very possible.

- Locke is not surprised by what Kate tells him, because it does not really tell him anything new. If Miles turned out to be on Ben's side , well that would have surprised him. But the actual conversation just confirmed to him that Miles is indeed sent to kill him.

Yeah even Frank says to Sayid "you cheated" meaning he traded Miles for Charlotte AND Miles says to Kate when she sees him at the boat house "I the arab traded you too"....that was definitely the trade off.

I agree, he definetly gave him loud mouthed Miles for CS Lewis.
