Hi guys, i thought it was very interesting in the episode what kate did, when near the end marvin candle mentions about not the using the computer to communicate with the outside world....as this could cause another 'incident'. why is this do you think?? The fact that season 5 is drawing to a close where the incident is supposed to be explained is cool, i just wonder if this episode will have any bearing on what will happen....

Maybe it involves Faraday or one of the other Losties going to the Swan to use the computer for whatever reason? It doesn't seem likely since it appears to be under construction at the moment. Hell, I find it odd how they could have possibly found a solution and build a computer to fix things in 108 minutes after the incident, especialy at the stage it is at right now. I thought it was meant to be a place for electromagnetic expirements to take place, but there isn't much time for that if the incident happens soon and it is still in the process of being built.

I guess it m ight just have to do with using the computer for something other than what it is meant to do; fix the problem with the leak. Maybe communicating with others could malfunction and instead do something to the leak that could potentialy be dangerous.

Yeah, it's odd how it seems the incident is going to happen in '77, which is the same number as the one that blew up the Flame...

The not communicating through the computer can cause the incident is a mystery. How do you communicate through a computer to another person who is in "ether" anyway?

I believe what the others are refering to is the swan station implusion when the button was not pressed. Mikhail refered to it in "enter 77." Tom refered to it in "Not In Portland." Ben refered to it in "The Man from Tallahassaee." Almost all of the statements suggest it was a recent change.

Plus if the incident occured in 77 and the DI sustained the energy via the button then they probually kept the outgoing signals for coordinates and food drops, etc. Therefore, once the sky turned purple no more signal.

As Hurley would say, I just don't ask questions anymore!
