PS..come to think of it, I don't think she said Aaron. That would make it too obvious, too easy for us and if there is anything LOST has been, that is obvious and easy...don't you agree. With that said, I don't think Kate's baby is Aaron.
Was Eric one of Sawyer's alias'?

maybe kate told jack that it was sawyers and maybe claire gave the baby away to kate

Deb you are not the only one who coulda swore she said Eric, I thought I heard the 'K' sound at the end. Cause then it would make sense if 4 yrs have passed. Because I was pretty sure she lied to Sawyer about not being pregnant, when he showed jubilence at that thought then it helped her decide which way to go, stay on island or go back. Granted why the baby aged 4 yrs fast is disconcerning, unless its relevent to time.

haha right? Well and judging from next week's trailer we don't even know if they get off the island anytime soon ya know?!? It could be a few years still!!! We still have a few seasons left right?!

i too thought it was eric and then i went back and listened on the dvr several times...she does say aaron. it was confusing for sure, but she did say aaron

Ok I don't know how true some of these spoilers are, but I read a transcription of this episode last week (I CHEAT SOMETIMES....A week's a long time!!!) And it said Aaron. PS it's not totally cheating because seeing it gives you WAY more. Like the fact the kid looked like claire and her ex!!

i still hear aaron...even trying to read her lips it looks like aaron. plus, blonde hair and blue eyes just like claire.

it makes even more sense that it's aaron after claire talking to kate about having a baby one day, and kate didn't even want to pick aaron up.

now, flashforward....

the irony is that kate is the one looking out and caring for aaron.

and, going back to why jack doesn't want to come over and see kate's son...jack has probably found out by this time that aaron is his nephew. but, we really don't know what the future holds.

if, in fact, claire dies...and this is just hypothetical...and kate takes aaron as her own, then jack may find it difficult to see his dead sister's son.

it's a long shot, but i can say that kate does have aaron.

I hope that wasn't bad I posted that but yeah it's not really a spoiler when it's over. But I'm CLEAN as of tonite no more spoilers lol just waiting the week and will fill it with heavy drinking to get thru if necessary haha

Yes it is!! There's a good chance tomorrow will be a snow day, too...Idle time is the devil's plaything! And I was just thinking maybe that would clear up confusion on the Aaron/Eric thing. I also think it was Aaron b/c of the look on Kate's face after she said his name. It was kinda evil mixed with guilt wasn't it?

I just remember thinking she went to looking so relieved after getting released and, right after she said his name, her facial expression totally changed. I think they're trying to tell us something.

I'm not sure if she killed her, but if Claire is dead I think Kate was somehow responsible, perhaps indirectly. I think that's why she's caring for her and Jack can't see them together.... he loves Kate but if Claire was his sister-who knows let's go back to the Christian Sheppard on the island theory. maybe he kills Claire! Who knows. I'm too tired to think anymore lol

Or maybe it was a Kate or Claire choice.. As in, they were both in trouble and Jack had to choose who to save and he chose Kate. I don't know if I totally believe that, but it could be a possibility.

I think in a moment of fear and panic Kate took the baby to lie who she was and her past. Or Claire gave her the baby feeling the island was no place for a kid. Maybe she was under the belief Kate would return. They get off the island and cant find their way back. It drives them crazy and they can't (esp. Jack) deal with it. I want to know who the 8 survivors were that mention while on the witness stand. I totally was thinking Sawyer was the cab driver when Kate left the courthouse.

and as someone mentioned earlier - maybe jacks discomfort WAS due to his realisation of his relationship with aaron or possibly it could be to do with claire and why she is not with aaron - if it is indeed her aaron.

Something must happen to Claire, Something to do with Jack that he is having trouble facing. Kate must understand this and want him to come to terms with it.

I DITTO THAT JJ......DEFINITELY... and again i think that something happens to claire and kate takes aaron to raise him.....jack may not want to see him cuz it will bring back bad memories with guilt over not saving her (Claire) and maybe he does know that claire is his sister....the only thing about that is that if he did then i would expect that he would raise the baby with kate knowing that it's his nephew
