Fan, I don't think if Claire was alive would she ever give up Aaron. The only slim possibility is Claire could not get off the island, but Kate could. Then maybe she would give Aaron to her until she herself could be rescued.

I think the whole bit hanging laundry was to show how close she's become to Aaron from the person she was in the beginning. From ready to give him up to adoption to "The last thing I'd ever thought I'd be was a good mother" or whatever....I think that was leading us to see she's all about the motherhood now and to be separated from Aaron means she's prolly dead. :( Aw she'll be w/ Charlie.

Yeah, totally.. I wasn't into the Kate/Aaron theory that had been mentioned on here before until that laundry scene..

Also, on the podcast, the guys said this episode would have a "killer ending", and I thought they meant that someone would actually get killed, and my first thought was Claire.. I like her, but her story is pretty much over now that she's had the baby and now that Charlie is gone. Noone ended up dying this time, but I'm pretty convinced that she will be killed off.

Maybe the killer ending was the insinuation of Claire's death? And I'm sorry if I had Sawyer on an island and a bed vs. court waiting for me in the real world, I think I'd be chillin with the smoke monster for awhile longer. She made that decision AFTER talking to Miles and finding out they knew who she was!! (Frankly I'd take Sawyer on an island over several other outcomes haha!)

Desmond may have said that just to get Charlie to go along, and even if Desmond did foresee Claire getting off the island, it doesn't guarantee that he saw her getting off alive. And even if she gets off the island alive, theres the whole gray area of making if back to reality... maybe the freighties off her? i can only hope, as Claire has always been a least favorite character of mine...

It also occurred to me that Claire may not have been one of the "eight survivors" mentioned, Kate may have claimed to be the biological mother back in real life...

Desmonds vision was shown and it was Claire getting on the helicopter. But his visions have been inaccurate before.

I'm almost 100% positive that we never actually saw Claire get onto the helicopter in Desmond's flash.

I was wondering if he lied about it. but why would he do that? Ok, yeah, to get Charlie to press the button, but when they were on the boat, he said that HE was going to press the button instead (so Charlie clocked him).

Also, maybe she got on the helicopter, but then died later. Or Desmond's flashes weren't exact.

Yeah you never know, I have a feeling Desmond WILL see Claire and Aaron get into the heli and feel relief that his vision was correct but then maybe see another vision that something will go wrong and maybe tells Claire NOT to get on it (or get off if she had just boarded). Perhaps he tells her that if Aaron is to live, he needs to get off the island. So who knows? Maybe Claire won't die but to save her son she needs to allow him to leave. Maybe thats why Jack and Hurley and all them want to go back....for those they left behind?
