Sawyer's new nicknames in the 4th season

Did Sawyer call Hugo Reyes 'ese' on episode 2? -- while they were travelling through the jungle? I remember him saying something, and then 'ese', and then saying something like "you ain't knowin'" and then walking off.

What do you guys think? and correct me if I'm wrong. hehe

P.S. for those of you who don't know the term ese, it's what Mexican Americans call eachother (at times). It's kind of like 'homie', or 'dawg'.

I don't recall other times, but he called him ese in S04E01 when he tries to comfort him about Charlie.

Ever since Sawyer killed Locke's dad, I've noticed him using other characters real names more often than not.
