How old is Daniel Faraday?

I can't seem to find Daniel's age anywhere. Does anyone know how old he is? I'm wondering if he would have been born before 1977, if so where is baby Dan?

I dont think that he was born on the island. He never got a nose bleed (or was the last to get one) during the time jumping. This implies he had never been on the island before.

I don't think we've ever been told how old he is. But, I think we can say he was born before 1977.

Basically, if Eloise didn't have Dan prior to 1977, then she wouldn't be so heartbroken over shooting someone who simply claimed to be her son. I think she had to have had Dan by 1977 to get so torn up about it.

I kinda thought he would have to have been born before 1977 but I wasn't sure. So if his Mom is on the island in '77 I was wondering what she did with Daniel. Private school for smart future physicists? (spelling??)

Great question. Well, last night, when they did the flashbacks for Daniel, the lead in was '30 years ago' wasn't it? We saw Daniel playing the piano. How old did he look? Add that to 30 years - and voila....

I think the opening scene was Desmind in the Hospital in 2007. 30 years ago was for Dan getting on the sub in 77.

About the nosebleeds: it seems like Locke didn't get any either, so far as I can recall, even when Sawyer started having them. I think that the island needed both Locke and Daniel the most, for whatever reason. It didn't need Charlotte so it let her die. Perhaps the island knew that the rest of them had long enough until Locke fixed things, so it didn't need to waste anything on them.
