Not sure if this has been posted Im sure my eye sight was not as keen as the rest but the Miles episode 3 weeks ago when Miles finds the body of the man at their new apt. Notice the room the man is in is 4 but right below is a white rabbit and if you glance at the ear you will see the number 8. Just a little number hunt for everyone.

And in The Variable, the wine glass in front of Eloise in the restaurant she took Dan to after his graduation had a rabbit in it!!!!

NotSo I got a ? so when the Island was skipping and Dan was no where to be found. Did Dan go to the Dharma camp to vist the Orchid and this is why he when Chang was going to be at the Station. We have witnessed many flash forwards and flashbacks but I think he actually went to the Orchid in the time flash and kept track of where and when he was.

I don't know how helpful that really would have been though. He would have flashed out of the Orchid at some point and been buried alive before it was built! I think he was just being Dan and wondering around. He looses track of things....
Seriously though. That's the second time he's wondered off....I don't think we'll ever really find out where he went. So, for now I'll just chaulk it up to Dan being Dan....

well what do you think Dan was suffering from when Widmore visited. He told him he would be healed but really didnt seem that off. And if the Island was to give him back his power to remember things without thinking about it then he was wrong because he does lose his journal not to forget he cant remember the playing cards Charlotte dealt.

Dan screwed up his memory by testing his time travel on himself, right? The island was healing him. It doesn't have to happen over night. He got two cards right and one card wrong I think. For Dan, that sounds pretty good. I think he really began to recover his memory. Maybe enough that he knew he had to go to Ann Arbor to help the DI work out some problems on the island. And tell me this. If mommy and daddy dearest were Others, then why did he go and help or at least join up with Dharma? There is this constant crossover conection that keeps happening and I don't get it yet.

He had memory issues plus he blames himself for Teresa's situation which might have "snapped" him. (Although I think we'll learn Widmore or Ellie was behind Teresa's "accident")

I think the island does heal him because he is fairly lucid in the Variable. He got off the sub in a confident and purposeful manner - much different than when he first arrived on the island.

I will say he really doesn't seem to consciously know why he was crying when he saw the submerged 815 on tv. But, unless he has already time traveled, he has not had any contact with the Losties at the time Widmore visits him. It seems he has a subconscious connection to 815 which to me means he has already time traveled and learned about their situation, and he cries because he blames himself for changing something that resulted in their deaths.

In it! That darned bunny is floating on the wine! lol! Take a look. It is the wine glass on your right side, Ellie's left. Thanks to Damon Lindelof for pointing it out!

Hey Damon, I've been giving you the credit for finding it the whole way! I am also a skeptic and I went to the sight already to see if it had been photoshopped or not! Ha! What can I say? Well, 100% absolutly real! They even have a second screen cap that shows it! I always have to know first hand for myself in these kind of things so don't take it the wrong way! You did a really great job in finding it and bringing it to us Damon! But here's a question for you. After all that I decided to check into the cultural meanings for rabbits! Well, I came up with a whole lot of stuff that relates to Lost. So, is the rabbit a representation for a mirror world or is the rabbit a stand alone for all of the meanings? I started a thread about it in general discussion. I found this wacked out website that was loaded with info!

i consider the rabbit a metaphor to the novel of Alice in Wonderland and its white rabbit. Alice followed the rabbit to a world that is connected to Earth.
The writers have (kinda)said our island is a world connected to Earth much the same way as Wonderland, Narnia, and OZ. All three novels have been hinted about in this show. The island might be a world of its own but connected to Earth.
-Mirror World might be mis-leading to a certain degree. Not everything has to be
opposite or reflected/inverted.
- One thing I dont like about Oz and Wonderland being referred to, is the fact that both of these novels end with it being a dream. Lost is not a dream.
-I'll look at your other thread

Oh, don't get me wrong. I am completly onboard with a duality of some sort and think the mirror matter world is a good translation of what we are seeing. I have been posting about quantum entanglement lately. That would be the scientific basis for a mirror world, one spin positive and one spin negative. Wherre one world effects the other even though they are spacially seperated. It's intriguing. What also adds interest is that in quantum entanglement there is theorized a hidden variable that makes the equations work or rather explains the equations. I have just been exploring the cultural meaning of rabbits and found that there are some odd coincidences about then and our show. For instance, a rabbit can have 42 offspring in one year, or that a rabbit or hare, was sacrificed to Osiris every year, and things like that. Interesting little facts.

the white rabbit to me has always symbolized temptation. Alice was so bored with what she was doing that the absurd stole her attention from what everyone else was telling her she should do.

but that's just me.

Didn't know Mr. Damon was a fan of the site, that's f'ing cool. what up damon!

The looking glass logo: Colors are inverted and the clock on the White Rabbit's neck reads 815
Ben had a rabbit with the #8 on it
Chang had a rabbit with the #15 on it
