Seen as how Richard is becoming more and more involved in the show, and I suspect that he's going to be pretty relevant from now on, I'm just going to throw this out there...

Did Richard, or the original others/hostiles, arrived on the Black Rock?

I don't think the 'original' others came from the Black Rock... mostly because of the statue. I think the statue pre-dates the Black Rock (though that may well be where Richard and some of the others came from) getting to the Island. I hope it's 'story' is revealed.. as well as something about the diary Widmore bought at auction.

We'll find out soon enough. This week's episode is Richard Alpert centric. Bring it on!

I really can't wait for it!

Me neither, he has been one of the most intriguing character in lost and it will be great to finally learn some more about him.

What's in the Black Rock Journal that Widmore bought? Why is it so important?

I was thinking that the Journal has to somehow be tied to Richard or the others, because if the ship wrecked on the island how did the journal get off of the island without someone's help (assuming the Journal was on the rock). I doubt the crew of the black rock were able to find their own way off.

I really can't wait for it!

Not to mention Richard provides alot of quotes for the "Lost lines you shouldn't say during sex" thread.
"It points north John"
"This may be hard to swallow, but I don't have time to be sensitive about this."

It will be great to see some back round on Richard. I very highly doubt that he was ever a member of the Black Rock, but I have a feeling that when we finally see the Black Rock's back story Richards' going to be heavily involved.

Speaking of the Black Rock... If the ship is the Black Rock, then what is the White Rock? The Statue or something else on the island we haven't seen yet?

Ya follow? Black/white, yin/yang, etc...just a thought.
