Oh, yeah!
Especially after discoverig Des only had an arm/shoulder injury! I mean, c'mon! Children CAN go in to see their parents, you know!

yes - we talked about it a few days ago. There seemed no reason to say "the nurse will watch your baby", unless there was something fishy going on. All nurses I know in hospitals are WAY TO BUSY to babysit patients children - it's just not done. And like Locke said - dad didn't have anything contageous and he wasn't dying! I think something is up too!

I think they wanted to spare the child from hearing that cheesy dialogue.

'aye brotha, i told you i'd never leave yeee again!'

They probably took one look at the little bugger and went running. Little Charlie is one UGLY little kid!

Maybe he was in I.C.U. No kids allowed. But it's still hard to believe a nurse would babysit.

Yeah I just re-watched that scene, the nurse said he was in the recovery room. Not sure if that room is off limits to kids though.

Little Charlies a goner...and I'm wondering if Ben has something to do with it.

There was no reason for the scene to take place unless something was going to happen to Charlie. Does this reopen the possibility for Charlie Pace?

True, we are too busy to babysit, however.....under certain circumstances we do things like that. Des just out of emerg. surgery would justify such case and only in that one instance. So that part of the show didn't seem out of sorts to me for the most part. Des sitting straight up and, awake and alert is what I found strange lol.

Little Charlies a goner...and I'm wondering if Ben has something to do with it.Nah, Ben couldn't bring himself to shoot Penny because of little Charlie. Ben is a child kidnapper, not a child killer!

For the love of God no!!!!! He's not Charlie Pace, he's not Charles Widmore, he's just the ugly ass kid of Des and Penny.

I think he is kind of cute!!!!! I had bad vibes about that scene too. Maybe someone will take little Charlie back to the
island in order to get Desmond and Penny to go back because they have a part to play in whatever is going to be happening.

I thought it was odd too. But there have been a few instances where something SEEMED like it was going to be a major thing and wasn't. This could very well be one of those things. I am still waiting to find out why Ben asked Sun to tell Desmond he was sorry. It feels like it should be for more than thinking about shooting Penny and wounding Des, but...I am starting to see that sometimes the writers throw things in for drama and nothing more.

Eloise Hawking did tell Desmond in "316" that the island wasn't done with him yet.
