View Full Version : Any more upcoming major deaths? (non-spoiler)

So Ausiello at Entertaiment Weekly (link below) said that Daniel was the major death that was rumored (in comparison to a minor death like Carl or Patchy). This can't be the last casualty of the year, can it? It isn't a LOST season finale without someone taking a dirt-nap.
I'm just wondering. Anyway, Ausiello is wrong as often as he is right regardless.

I heard that this was not the earth shattering, tear jerking death that they were talking about! Go figure! I think there's a major character at stake! Dan was good, but major character? He was really too new to be so major! I think they are talking on the scale of Sawyer, Jack, Juliet, Ben, etc.:eek::eek:

I really, really fear a MAJOR death like Sawyer, Jack or maybe even Hurley. They couldn't be that bold, could they?
Yes they could..and they would I bet.

I am betting that Daniel is not dead. I think he lives to tell Eloise about her future, and that is why she knows everything that will happen up to the point Daniel left on the freighter. I know there are holes in that theory. Hole #1 is that when she admits to no longer knowing the future, it is 3 years after the freighter left. However, in the narrating of the story the scene was juxtaposed against her convincing Daniel to leave, so I take my cue from that. Hole #2 is that she could get the information from Dan's journal. However, the teaser for the upcoming episode shows Jack in possession of the journal, so I do not think Eloise gets her knowledge from that.

They described it as something traumatic and wretching and would drop our jaws. While Dan's death was sad, I liked the geek alot, it wasn't like that. OMG!!! It's real scary!!!

sorry dude, get over it. Dan is dead. If he is not dead then they wasted an entire episode building up an ironic ending where his own mother kills him. But I do think there will be more blood.
I say Sayid will die before the season is over. After being on the Island for several months and not making any comment about eating boar, the apparent food of choice for Lost surivors, despite his Muslim upbringing (even moderate Muslims I know do not eat pork) Sayid finally returns to the present only to ironically catch swine flu. This combined with the STD he obtained from having sex with Ilana which leaves his immune system in weakened state, will cause him to die...

:D:D
Anyway, if he's dead, he deserves it for acting so stupidly in this episode. Funny how such a book-smart guy can do such dumb things. And now it looks like Jack wants to follow in his footsteps!

I actually liked Nikki and Paulo, and LOVED their death episode.
Saiyd would be a good death, he is kind of backed into a corner character-wise.

I watched the Nikki & Paulo episode on dvd and could watch the remainder of the season at my leisure. But I can see how one might really hate that episode if you were waiting for secrets about the hatch and instead had to sit through that.
From the perspective of the rest of the show that episode probably did suck, since those characters seemed to come out of nowhere and they were obviously introduced for the sole purpose of killing time. however, I still liked that episode and I will keep defending it. I liked the ironic twist ending.
plus I am still a fan of razzle dazzle.

It does seem like a good time in the story to kill off Sayid. The one guy I hope they don't kill off is Hurley.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying it was a bad epi. It was just that TPTB conceded to the fans' wishes of knowing other characters from 815 so we got Nikki and Paulo. It really didn't contribute much to the overall story but I did like the medusa spiders! Way cool!!!

I think Hurley is safe for now. I think he still has a Kung-Fu Panda moment coming where he defeats Ilana and her cronies using his girth and spryness to his advantage.

I really fear that Hurley could meet his demise, it would be so tough to take. For some reason I just see him sacrificing himself for everyone else. He doesn't serve much purpose except for comic relief at this point, and the writers would probably enjoy the shock value of Hurley buying it.

Only comic relief? What about when Hurley saved everyone on the beach when Keamy's crew had them captured and he came driving through in the Dharma van? I think he's safe for now. I am worried about Sawyer.

I think that's why he's safe. He is the only bit of comic relief in this show (no sorry I don't think Sawyer is funny, at least not in a 'haha' kind of way). Besides that Hurley is one of the few people that everyone cares about. If they were to kill him it would have to be a huge deal and there would probably tons of foreshadowing, like Charlie.

They described it as something traumatic and wretching and would drop our jaws. Then it's probably Sawyer in front of Juliet's eyes.

If we're talking dramatic jaw dropping death here.... what if Juliet kills Sawyer....
I really don't trust her.

yes me toooooo.:( the only thing is that this season, although great, has been fairly predictable overall. and the prediction is sayid. most people think its sayid. sayid makes the most sense. but, idk. the shock value of sawyer would tremendous. and horrifying. shudder.

I might be looking too much into this, but right after Daniel tells Jack that anyone of them can die in "The Variable", the camera goes straight to Kate. I thought it was kind of fishy. Anyway, that's what I think because Lost theories are like a**holes, and every Lost fan has one.
