Anyone think that maybe what lies in the shadow of the statue is Jughead? Im thinking that this new group is there to possibly find the hydrogen bomb and release it, killing everyone on the island. That is how this new war is going to begin. That is why Daniel was trying to find it, and when jack and company get sent back to 2007, they will know where it is and how to protect it. thoughts?

This was Doc Jensen's theory from EW.com weeks ago. I still can't figure out why it would be that, though.

I don't know if that is how the war will begin because wouldn't a detonated hydrogen bomb completely obliterate the island?

yes.. but the war is them trying to get to jughead and our losties protecting it.

I am guessing it is death that lies in the shadow of the statue. No reason just a thought.

Doesn't matter, let Ilana,Bram and these new Dharma people try to set off Jughead, we got John Locke to stop them. Not to mention if Ben finally has a change of heart, he'll help Locke protect the island.

Here's something I need clarification on; if the new Initiative is speaking about the 4 toed statue, how on earth do they know about it? Was the statue even around during the 70's?

I think that is just gonna be the Island its self that lies in the shadow. Bram obviously knows about the Island so Im thinking the island maybe has a name. Since the statue stands on the coast line I belive its is just a reference to where they are.

We know that the foot at least is still standing, and obviously the rest of it had been around for ages.
