How DID their plane crash?

Hey guys, sorry if this in in the wrong place, I've been known to do that! I was wondering how exactly DID the 815 plane crash? I know they got to the island by the small time opening, but why did it crash in the first place?

the first crash? it was des not pushing the button and the elctro magnictic force pulled the plane down.

No, the plane crash was a direct result of Desmond not pushing the button on time back when kelvin died. Desmond and Kelvin had a fight on the rocks, and kelvin hits his head. Desmond has to run back to the hatch to press the button. Desmond gets back to the hatch computer well after the button should have been pressed, and the electromagnetic energy has by now affected flight 815. Flight 815 starts to break apart over the Island as Desmond is now entering the numbers and containing the electromagnetic energy back to a safe level. So Kelvin died on the same day that flight 815 crashed on the Island.

If I might add.... Ajira 316 did not crash; it merely had a rough landing.

Oceanic 815 did crash because the aircraft was physically torn apart into pieces.

If Desmond had been pushing the button on schedule, Oceanic 815 may have had the same fate as Ajira 316 although its landing would have been a helluva lot rougher since there was no airstrip at the time. The Others built the airstrip after Oceanic 815's crash.

On a side note, the Official podcast of March 19, 2009, states that Jacob ordered the construction of the runway.

The same thing that made Naomi's chopper crash? As far as I remember Frank's chopper crashed as a result of an electrical storm. When Naomi first came to the island there was no storm, so what made her aircraft crash?

Don't think Frank's chopper crashed,cos I remember Frank saying to Miles,"what kind of a pilot do you think I am?I put her down safe and sound over there!".

As for Naomi's copter,she said that she was following co-ordinates to where it should be,but didn't expect to find anything.
Then the clouds cleared,she saw land,then the instruments went haywire and she bailed(jumped).
Maybe it was the effects of the electromagnetic radiation that crashed her copter?
But when Sayid asked if they actually saw her helicopter,they said no.
So Maybe Lapidus brought her over and she jumped from his chopper as
I could only see space for one chopper on the freighter!!!
