Sorry if this has been discussed recently - but has anyone discussed/figured out why the women who became pregnant on the island died in mid to late term and (reason Juliet was recruited and who had yet to remedy) ??:confused:

A lot of people think it has something to do with the statue

Right now, I think it's consequential to the EM released.

Some get cured of things, some get cancer later, but one of the consistancies is that you miscarry and die in 2nd trimester if pregnant.
It may also have to do with the TIME and movement of the island - perhaps with the developing fetus. But that's a guess.

I do NOT think it is a punishment, however.
