I'm starting to feel like The Losties are the "creators" of the island. Everything that happens on the island from the beginning of the island is in direct relationship with all of the actions that we're seeing throughout the episodes. Time can't change. I think that everything they are trying to do is what really happened. I think that at some point they are going to recognize this and the island will get moved again sending the losties to the beginning. Probably right before Jughead explodes.

I dont know about them being the creators of the island,but i definatly think what they are trying to do always happened,maybe with some minor changes from small descisions.I think what happens is the constant,and when/because of who etc...are all variables.

i would say that you can change things , the only twist is time will course correct itself . so in essence the whh & tcc is true . does that make sense .

ya i get what you mean but what i think complicates the situation is if they change for example dr changs life....eg.they admit the are from the future and tell him he will die,miles also mentions they have/had no relationship,this leads to dr chang leaving and making sure he has a relationship with baby miles...then adult miles gets back to the present(if he does) does he suddenly remember a relationship with his father?.....
i know its alot of ifs and buts,BUT lol....if the losties get back to the present causing or without stopping the incident,it doesnt change them crashing,but yet does change miles and his fathers relationship....
...complicated i know,but just something i was thinking.(this is also my first 'smart' post so be nice lol :D)

Makes sense to me. Just still have the 'course correcting' thing to explain and how to avoid paradoxes while staying in one universe. I'm guessing they are both connected.

I also think the Losties time travels is how it always happens. I also think that the time altering event that Jack and Kate are attempting is not what`s supose to happen. I think this will be the incdent we have been wondering about. This incdent not only sends the Losties to the present, but also sets up the events leading to the Purge. I think the Hostiles will see this time altering attempt by the Losties to be banishment/death for all of Dharma. So the Purge is now set in place to accure.

I think the present time line will by the end of season 6 mark the new begining of the island. Im not sure how Jughead plays a part in this. But I belive this was going to be the key in Jack and Kate`s plane. But now in the present. It will be the second attempt to use jughead. Which Jack snd Kate failed last time.

How sweet would it be for the last episode of the Series Finale to be a 60 year old Jack still on the island, and seeing a plane crashing overhead, heading toward the island, he tries to make it to the beach to warn his younger self, and Richard kills him and drags him off to the temple or something.

I think it will send them somewhere but I don't think it will be back to there present. I think it will shoot them to the islands beginning. There Jack and Kate will lay all the ground work for all the ancient stuff that tells the story about the island. All the history of the island will be known because Kate and Jack have seen it first hand and create temples and statues to tell their story.
