Do sawyer/Kate get back to "real" world

For some reason I think the sub gets called back to the Island before it gets that far away. Perhaps Chang orders it back

I was thinking that something was gonna happen to the sub that it never left or somehow when they blow the bomb it messed up the sub but then how would Lil Miles and Charlotte et al make it off the island. I think they will unlock them at one point and Kate will tell them what is goin on and they will find a way off and swim back to the island.

I think Sawyer and Jules say it like that cuz they have been livin on this island for forever and knows how it works and the island is like a world within a world wit its own set of rules and all that jazz.

I think it very possible that chan calls it back or when the sub gets to a point they flash back to the island

I said this in another thread. But I think as the sub leaves the islands atmosphere, it will experience a flash similar to the one Ajira 316 experienced. The flash will send Juliet, Sawyer, and Kate back to the island while everyone else goes about their business. The island isn't done with them yet.

As far as we know, Richard saw Jack, Kate, and Hurley die because he recognizes them from the photo. He may not know who Jin is. The fates of Jin, Miles, Juliet and Sawyer are unknown. Furthermore, Richard may only think he saw Jack, Kate, and Hurley die. For instance, if Jack sets of Jughead, perhaps that causes them all to go back to 2007 where they belong. Richard will only assume they died in the explosion. That's just one scenario.

One theory out there is that Lost is a sophisticated game. Kate's statement would seem to agree with this theory.

By the way, I tend to believe this theory quite a bit, there's a tremendous amount of evidence compiled on that website to prove it.

Additionally, in this train of thought, I believe that the name of the show may refer to how the game is lost, not how some people are not locatable. It could have been named "Won", but that would have been a dead giveaway.

I think you are correct. We know that Charlotte and Miles mother and little Miles gets off the island. Charlotte explained leaving to Daniel. Remember also that most people are knocked unconscious, because "some people have trouble with the journey". Maybe the trouble is a time issue, or the bubble that surrounds the island. I think it is entirely possible that Sawyer, Juliet and Kate get transported back to the island. (Which would suck for them, but aren't they alive as younger versions of themselves somewhere else in the 70's? How could they co-exist with themselves?). Personally I believe that all of them survive the Purge and hydrogen bomb... somehow. :) Kate doesn't want events to have Flight 815 not crash, because then she would be going back to prison.

In 1974, Sawyer introduced himself to Richard - so Richard knows who Sawyer is. But I don't recall him ever meeting Jin, Miles, or Juliet in the past.

She was asking if Richard knew who Jack, Kate and Hurley were. Then she mentions that her husband was here with them. Then Richard looks at the picture, which only includes Jack, Kate, and Hurley, and says "I remember these people". "These people" does not include Jin as they are only talking about the people in the photo, who were with Jin in 1977.

Ok. Tell me. When did Richard meet Jin in 1977? How does he know who Jin is?

Second, your "story" is misleading. After you ask me if I know any of these people in this photo, plus your random wife, I would look down at the photo and say "I know these people" - as in, I know these people in this photo. And then I'd follow up with "but I have no idea who Mary is or what she looks like, so how can I know what happened to her?"

1977 isnt over yet, Richard has lived all of 1977. he will met Jin. Richard in 2007 has already met him and watched him die.
Richard never followed up.. with "whose Jin"

Here's a play by play.

After a slight pause, Richard looks down at the photo and says "I remember these people". If you remember from earlier, "these people" that Sun was talking about were the 3 people in the photo. "These people" were here with Jin. Not "these people" include Jin.
